Sounds like you're getting sorted so all good.
Whether character or otherwise - I prefer to use the word niggles - I'm afraid you either have to accept and get over or not and sell. Just wait for the fuel flap fail to open ....Apparently this won't happen on the DB11.
You'll forgive and forget once sorted and driven until the next time - it's like getting a permanent new car !

It used to be that taking a classic on holiday was risky and likely to be spoiled by a breakdown. And using an older car as a DD foolish. Seems to me with the over-complicated everything on new cars it now makes more sense to use a well engineered but simpler car when you need it to work and save the 'supercars' for Sunday meets.
That well sorted V12 XJ-S, or a well used DB7 Vantage may just be the way to go...
