I have to get new tires to replace to old Bridgestones on my 07 Vantage 4.3.

There would be the choice between 2 possible combinations of Michelins:

Pilot Sport 4 in 245/40 R19 front and 275/35 R19 rear (wider front, 8mm larger diameter) or
Pilot Sport 4S in 235/40 R19 front and 275/35 R19 rear (stock sizes)

Application would be spirited road use, no track.

Does anyone has a recommendation?

+1. Despite the naming convention, they are completely different tyres

+1 again for the 4S - head and shoulders above the BStone for all the right reasons you may want

Ok, no doubt that the PS4S is a great tire...

What I wonder is whether there is any benefit taking the PS4 instead?

Like beiing better in the rain, as example, or lasting higher milage (ok, milage is low priority).
I'm not looking for the ultimate grip either, would prefer a tire with a nice controllable limit.
Also the PS4 received high praise in tests, for example won EVO's 2017 tire competition.

I think the PS4 are only available in smaller sizes.
The PS4S is the fatter tyre branding.

Thanks for the link.

So it looks the PS4s is slightly more performance oriented and the construction is somewhat more modern and may give better steering feel.

And, as the price of the PS4s is even slightly lower ...PS4s in stock size it will be.

I hear PS4S are the ones to go for. They are the Pilot Super Sport replacement

I have the PS4s on my 07 V8V in stock 235/275 size.
The PS4s has a rather stiff structure.
I run 2.3 bar hot F&R.

+1 thanks for sharing TR-S. Is anyone running the cup 2’s as a regular dry weather road tyre (ie not on track)?

I'm also interested in this. My V8S has been on Corsas (on V12V) wheels since April and they've been superb. Admittedly it has been perfect Corsa weather for the 4 months since then and this will probably not be repeated in my lifetime! So when the Corsas are finished do I go with new Corsas, PS4S or PS Cup2? Important context is that I run winter tyres for 4 to 5 months a year so very cold/wet/ice performance is not an issue. I'm thinking I'll probably go PS4S but would be interested to hear from anyone running Cup 2s on their Vantage including the GT8 owners.

I’ve only done 1000 miles on my Cup 2’s on my GT8 but no complaints.
All dry running all roadwork.
I’ve also just changed to the Cups on my GT3 200 miles ago and thus far found them as good as the Corsa system previously on it.
But again dry use only.
