Hi All,

I received the Venting Kit, I was shocked how well presented it was, the install manual was so easy to follow, lots of pictures. I fitted it today (Sunday), very straight forward, took about an hour and a half, all working with no hitches, I will update you with the operation in the next week or two.

I have ordered parts to build a vent kit for my DB9 headlights. Including a programmable controller, the parts come to a grand total of £14. Once I receive everything I will do a build thread if anyone is interested.

Interesting... not normally one for a parts build-up but very interested to see how this turns out. Please do post when finished, warts and all!

Hi All,

as promised, I thought I would update you on the venting kit.
When I installed it which I must admit it was very easy (I am not a practical person), the day was raining and when I took the car for a drive the headlights filled with misty condensation (As they usually did) so I was a bit worried, I switched the car off and the venting continued for a couple of hours but when I went to to check, they were clear. I have used the car several times since then and there has been no condensation, all I can assume is the existing moisture inside the light units have now been expelled and the venting is now keeping them clear, brilliant, I am very pleased with the outcome, the squeaky brakes are my next project.

Yes, not that my lights have misted but it is the kind of thing that interests me and they surely will sooner or later.

I don't know how common this is with other cars but I had the same issue on my BMW z4

Will do!

Just waiting on four filters to arrive from China (cleared customs on the 6th). It was the only place that I could source them from rolleyes

Curious to read about that.
I guess the filters are the crucial part, blocking water in, while allowing air flow to transport humidity out.

I would imagine the filters are to stop any ingress of dirt particles, not to block water inside.

Just received my vent kit from AM Upgrades.

Extremely well presented with fantastic instructions. So, I’m sure I could fit it myself, but I’m not going to.

In to be fitted at a local (excellent) garage next Thurs. Will post feedback on the results after that.

Chap who runs said garage is v interested as he has a Vantage with the same issue.

Did they ever develop a kit for the DB9? Would someone post a link to AM Upgrades, I'm having issues finding them.
