Just saw this on LinkedIn:-

A space for collaboration, creativity and authenticity. As we focus on our vision to be the world's most desirable ultra-luxury British performance brand, we are commencing a phased refurbishment of the office space and communal areas of our Gaydon Headquarters to create an environment where our employees can perform at their best.

I found it interesting that is doesn’t state ...performance car brand or mobility brand

They could be selling fast sports shoes if one don’t know the Aston Martin brand !

Strange

Literally rearranging the furniture. Genius.

If morale is failing, get a construction project going. Highly visible and creates a positive vibe.

Blimey, how many niches within niches is that? Should be easy to achieve as no other company is trying for that niche(s). By my read of "most desirable" they could achieve that but not make any sales.

It is a shame that we joke about AML's various statements, but do you think they invite criticism, by using such convoluted and frequently meaningless language ?

Fortunate that they included 'British' as one of their five targets. That eliminates Ferrari as a target competitor.
Having said that though, one of their other target words is 'worlds', so that creates a contradiction, with Ferrari included.

M1AGM - 'the furniture'. Very good.

The AML marketing is an utter embarrassment.
This is supposed to be the pinnacle of motor car production, it sounds more like a soft drink advert aimed at teenagers on tiktok.

Lawrence, drop the hyperbole, cheesy marketing, and re-arranging the furniture.
Stop lying to shareholders, stop making awful decisions (such as taking out the highest interest debt in Europe, denominated in dollars so you get doubly shafted, suing the Nebula guys who run the most profitable dealership etc) and start making beautiful cars people want to buy.

Another egomaniac running a company into the ground for his own amusement.

Well, for those who can't afford £1.5M for the new Aston cars, which is pretty much everybody, they can get the logo on trainers instead for just £500.

So maybe the brand won't end up as a Mercedes trim level after all, but as clothing...

In fairness Ferrari are masters at it...I would love to know global mug, keyring, heck even a fake key sales they make.

In a way the language above is right not to include automotive references, that is how Ferrari work, they are just an ultra luxury brand, not car manufacturer. If anything, they are an ultra luxury brand that just happens to make cars amongst a sea of other trinkets.

That is where AM do have leverage, brand perception and reaction. In fact we are all part of that perception every time we take the car out people see it and in honesty based on my experience the reaction is overwhelmingly positive, the fact mine has merc parts does not matter one jot to people seeing it.

The best one so far being a dad and his son, who must have been about 3 or 4. We were parked up, son just points in amazement and is totally fixated on the car. Luckily we were just about to leave, so started the car and as it was warm gave it a few revs. Dad gave us a thumbs up, son's day made. The other fact this drives home for me and is similar is kids still love cars, and furthermore noise, I don't think EV is as perfect as many governments push out, but I do agree hybrids seem the way to go.

Interestingly the Valkyrie's owners manual highlights reference to Rimac...also the servicing schedule is there and fairly interesting to read.

Some of us might not like the language, but the creative recently has been pretty emotive and engaging, minus the odd issue like broken links on the site which is pretty poor planning.

( This reminds us of APs attempt to push up the IPO rating. )

Ferrari revenue categories suggest the opposite.
88% a car and engine manufacturer.

Merchandising and Licensing is included, as being a part of F1 sponsorship and F1 World Championship commercial revenues.

Note that Ferrari include a 2019 comparison. AML did not do that, they just wanted to show the enormous
increases from 2020 (Covid).

( I was interested to read, that their Formula One engines supplied to other teams, are on a rental basis. )

As far as my 7 year old son and his mates are concerned there are two cool car brands.

Lamborghini and Tesla.

Lamborghini because it’s fast and makes a lot of noise. Like a jet plane.
Tesla because it’s fast and doesn’t make any noise. Like a spaceship.

I can see their point.

Can't say I'm hugely surprised with how cash strapped they are and with everything else going on. It does beg the question as to when/how they're going to shift to being 'ultra luxury' though, when the countdown to the end of ICE is well and truly on and there's no sight of production ready mid-engined cars anywhere on the horizon.

Not surprised. When they said '23, I assumed revealed, marketed, taking orders with deliveries starting sometime in '24.

Will this delay, affect the Company's existing business targets ?

'British iconic ultra luxury car brand Aston Martin, becomes the latest automaker to reveal its electrification plan, which it has dubbed as Racing Green strategy. The carmaker now foresees itself as a PHEV focused brand in 2024 and shifting to pure electric cars is slated to happen in 2025.'

'The management target of 10’000 units in 2025 is split as follows:
Front Engine Sports Cars:...... 4,000 units
SUVs: ....................................... 4,500 units
Mid-Engine Sports Cars: ....... 1,500 units'

'By 2025;
Cars per year ............. 10,000
Revenue ..................... £2bn
Adjusted EBITDA ....... £500m'
