The release date for the next film has been announced as November 2019.

We have been told the sequence of AM new models, so if you were Andy Palmer, which Aston Martin would you want Mr. Bond to drive in the next movie?

The DBX needs to be a big seller, so could that be a contender?

I was thinking about this earlier and my money would be on the forthcoming Vanquish.

DBX gets my vote. He could take Moneypenny shopping in it.

DBX with a boot mounted Gatling Cannon.

And a beautiful Charlotte who can drive it while Bond does what Bond does.

Think of the Quantum of Solace opening credits chase scene but up hill and down dale, utilising the four wheel drive and suspension articulation...

And of course, BMT 216A

Q - "007 here is your new DBX vehicle"

007 - "What gadgets does it have"

Q - "Its got the latest technological feature"

007 - "Whats that called"

Q - "Electricity"

007 - "Can I have the Emotional Control Unit as I have to leave now and save the world"

Q - "No, come back tomorrow afternoon as its not charged up yet"

007 - "Can you phone the Dorchester and book me a suite please, I may as well attend to Charlotte while its charging"

If they follow the Daniel Craig series format of a decent AM car chase in every other film then:

DB5 as "there's just one thing I need" and its just been rebuilt, with a few driving scenes through movie

DBX hybrid with gadget demo by Q &

a short DBX scene leading to its demise with Bond captured after 3 hours at a recharging point - or more likely a remote electric start & remote drive for a quiet escape scene a short successful escape

No need for a long DBX chase scene with loads of special cars for destrustion and pod cars - save those for a new bond in the mid engine car

Hopefully he hasn't had a family with Ms Swann and just does shopping trips in a RapidE wink

Over the years James "lover boy" Bond must have sired enough little bonds to fill a bus hehe

If the DBS and Vanquish weren't inbound shortly (this year), they'd have been the logical option. Given how the films have tended to be the launch pad for a future model rather than a current model, it might be something with the engine in a different place...

The time scale for the mid-engine car launching is 2021, so Oct / Nov 2019 would be a little ahead of time.

Remembering with Spectre, a car was built for the film, which was of course the Vantage, under a DB name, after Mendes liked the look of the concepts. Other options would be the DBX as noted above, or perhaps the new Lagonda if they fancied something different (they've done 4 door hero cars before).

Thinking outside the box, there might be no car...but there could be a submarine... a Q branch modified Neptune, job's a good'un.

The remote control BMW 7 Series, supposedly in a car park chase.
I like nearly believable, but that was appalling.
Think we might gave only seen BMW once, in the Bond films.

It was ahead of its time though... you can drive a 5 series via mobile phone now laugh
Then there was the brief showing of the Z3 in Goldeneye. A bit naff really.

Being sensible for a moment, I think while the DBS has been out testing in the wild, the press releases and talk from the good Doctor have said the Vanquish will be here this year. I expected to see the DBS in production first. Given the film's timing, it might be a switch-a-roo, and the DBS appearing in the film following the Vanquish launching this year, time will tell on that front.

Bond introduced the DBS in Casino Royale. My money is on the new DBS for the new movie.

I am probably wrong, but I had thought that the replacement for the present Vanquish (testing photographs), is going to be named DBS.
If correct, and therefore that becomes the top mainstream model, which car will use the Vanquish name ?
