Took delivery of my AMR yesterday and tried to order the build book but when I enter the Vin it doesn’t accept it. Gutted.

Just had a refund from PayPal. I guess that means my DB11 was built when cameras weren’t installed? If so, I think it’s a bit poor that I get a refund before Aston Martin directly inform me (it’s been a couple of days now and still no word).
Pleasantly surprised that AM takes PayPal. We put together a Bitcoin miner at work and are pulling in about $50 a week. Use it for our monthly payday BBQ.

Speak to AML Customer Services or your dealer. Ask them to check as its hard to believe images weren’t taken. They are of mine when it starts build next week. Congratulations by the way and what a first drive!!!!!

Still no message from AM telling me that images are not available. Over 1 week after the PayPal refund. Incredibly poor show AM. Literally zero customer service whatsoever.

Well, a delightful turn of events.

My build pictures are available and book is being prepared. Will share a few pictures on here when received.

Thanks to AM for spotting this and getting in touch, lovely service really.

Simon Stanton would sometimes take photos of customer cars himself. There's no way the team at AML would just use stock imagery, they care far too much.

Not specifically sure; I collected in Sept, and believe was in build over the summer (ordered around April from memory).

I had a phone call from AML themselves last week about this. The guy was really apologetic but just confirmed that the images would only be available for mid 2017 builds onwards.

Ten out of ten for customer service though, the guy said he wanted to phone me and clarify the situation instead of just sending an email.

Looks like any build book for me will have to wait until I make the next vehicle purchase......which reminds me to avoid the Barista when I'm down there later biggrin

Have you been in touch with AML Customer Services. The cameras would definitely have been in place when you car was built so I really think you should be able to get a build book.

They’ve been in touch with me. My pictures are available after all. Book is being prepared as I type. I think I was a July or Aug build.

V impressed with their response after what I understand to have been an initial system glitch (not AM I don’t believe).

Admittedly too hasty with my earlier comment re customer service levels; a lesson in perhaps asking the question first.

Had asked my dealer about this recently and we took the opportunity to have a look at the Sample Build Book at the Factory last week whilst we were viewing our V Ultimate in build... £450 is a lot of dosh for sure - but it IS rather nice. Really thinking about one to go with the Ulitimate - I think it would be a lovely extra piece of provenance for your car - esp. For a special like an
Ultimate or AMR...

Hi Ian, no reply from customer service, and it’s difficult to call due to the time difference, but checked again today and it has now accepted my vin number so it must have been an issue on the website.

That's weird, they just sent me a generic email stating mine was built too early in 2017 and a refund would be made. I replied to the email asking when in 2017 they started this and they never answered the email - my experience was one of poor feedback/customer service

Suggest you give them a call. You never know. It’d be a lovely keepsake if the pictures are available ...

So after AML saying they didn't have the photo's of my car in build, after checking with them they said not all of the cameras were installed at the time, but they do have 8 images, whereas the standard set for the book is 12.

I'm thinking about pulling trigger..............

What do others with the book think ?
