2011 Tungsten V8VS - bought in 2016, 'tastefully upgraded' it over some years. Still have it.
2018 Cinnabar DB11 V12 with AMR upgrade. Bought in 2019, still have it.
and, realising a dream since I was 15, last year I completed the trifecta with a completely original Oscar India V8 in Old English Pewter
I used the last one to persuade the wife that its potential increase in value due to it again being in a Bond film will more than offset the DB11 depreciation...!
I absolutely love all of them and have no Intention to sell any.

We've seen dealers buying cars on CC before then putting them up for a decent markup. Makes sense - CC seems to sell low, so a dealer just needs to add a warrenty and bingo £10-£15k profit to be had.
Dunno why people sell via CC really. not something I would use myself I don't think, but each to their own.

They are also buying from the likes of BCA - was looking at two versions of the Rapide recently, both of which have now popped up in Main Dealer land - but that's not surprising - its trade only !Dunno why people sell via CC really. not something I would use myself I don't think, but each to their own.

First was a 2009 black V8Vantage with a Sportshift. Second was a 2008 green V8Vantage with a manual. Third was a gray 2017 DB11. And now I have my favorite a 2016 V8Vantage GTS in titanium with a manual.
So you prefer the V8 VH Vantage to the V12 DB11, Gene? Interesting. Any particular reasons?I had a launch edition db11. Everything that made an Aston special was gone. The smell of the leather gone. The fit and finish gone. The paint ( I had a dark gray with heavy metallic) and it was blotchy. It drove nice and it was fast but I just couldn’t like it. It drew quite a bit of attention and people seemed to like it but it just wasn’t for me. It wasn’t a bad car just wasn’t the same as previous generations of Aston’s. It was more of a nice mass production car like a Porsche. I now have a 2016 V8Vantage and absolutely love it.

I seem to have missed this thread.
I’m currently on Vantage number four. Following a decade and ten different Lotus I bought my first Vantage, a 2007 V8 in titanium silver with blue interior in 2017.
A new onyx black V8 followed in early 2015, replaced by another new V8 nine weeks later. A great deal on a lovely cobalt blue car could not be ignored.
Currently in a new generation Vantage, which is a fantastic car. The more I drive it the more I appreciate these new models.
There were others in between, but I keep coming back.

Not entirely sure why I bought my first Vantage, since it stopped me driving my true love, my 1998 TVR Chimaera! They must have something as now on #4.
I think in part its because my dealings with my local dealer, Grange Brentwood, and AML themselves (who sold me the latest Vantage) are a cut above most other marques, although that may be a low bar, after trying to buy an AMG estate!
As a post script, TVR had a full retrim just before lockdown, and looks better than the day it left the factory.

Out if interest, who did you use? I’m planning on treating my Cerb to a bit of refurb. Dave seems to know what he’s doing but interested in other recommendations as they all have their own style. Derek 111S said:

Thank you for your contribution to this topic, Derek.
9 pages have certainly demonstrated the passion and loyalty of so many owners.
I note from your profile that you have been/are a Lotus enthusiast.
Perhaps you are tempted by the Emira.
How wonderful to suddenly see (historic) Lotus with what appears to be, a huge success on their hands.

As nice as the Emira seems, I can’t see it selling for the £60k - £80k initially quoted, especially given Lotus’ inflation rates on Elise, Exige and Evora over recent years.
Regardless, ‘Shall we take the Aston tonight’ is far more enticing than ‘Oh, remind me to pick up the AA card if we’re taking the Lotus’.

Very good. I had an Elise briefly 10 years ago and can still recall the constant feeling that something was about to go bang. Still, loved the car and would get an Exige in a heartbeat. Once bitten twice shy does not necessarily apply here.Four for me:
2014 to 2015 SP10 Vantage - Ceramic Grey
2015 to 2016 DBS - Casino Royale, arguably the best looking car I have ever owned and together with my McLaren got the most people’s appreciation and comments - taking photos.
2016 to 2017 V12 Vantage - Sea Storm
After McLaren ownership and house build project come back to marque with:
2021 - ? New Vantage (manual) - Obsidian Black
