Great Photo Graeme, hows that check engine light all silent I hope. Life is boring in lock down again. Took a chance and went to Mt Glorious yesterday even though the news said there was going to be a police blitz up that way however didn't see one blue uniform.
Was a magic morning.

Very happy with this, which D&C did. Good blokes too.
Thanks - looks good. I'll add them to the list to speak to!

It looks lovely. Any regrets on the 9 -> 11 move?

None at all. It is a totally different car to the 2005 DB9. Much more "sporty" and the handling is more precise and feels more "planted". Have not done a long trip in it yet but I find it to be just as comfortable.

Also nice to have more modern features that were lacking on the DB9.

Here is the list of Aston Martins I've owned and loved and driven every day.......been a big fan for quite a while:

1999 DB7 Black with tan interior, custom wheels, exhaust, and grill. Purchased it with about 400 miles on the odo, in 2001. First Aston Martin introduction!

2006 Vantage Tungsten with Black interior. Bought in 2006

2009 Vantage Tungsten with Black interior (red stitching), Bought in 2009

2012 Vantage Tungsten with dark gray and light gray interior combo, white stitching. Bought in 2012

2012 Virage Meteorite with special interior detail by Q. Bought with 400 miles on it in 2013

2015 Vanquish Meteorite with Kestrel Tan. Bought new in January 2016

2018 Vanquish S Magnetic Silver with Sahara Tan. Bought new in January 2019 Stunning car.

I still have the Vanquish S, and recently received some special parts from Q that will really make it unique. I may sadly be switching to the Bentley GT next year, though, unless the top guys at Aston bring on a group of better designers. The current cars are all lacking in design composition (which is clearly why they are not selling as hoped), but are 'fixable'. I am available to modify the designs to get back to 'Aston level' beauty, Mr. Moers. Either call me, Henrik Fisker, or Ian Callum. Pleeeeeeeze! Before it is too late!

I think the DBS Superleggera is one of the most beautiful, if the most beautiful of the current crop of cars (not as nice as my NP Vanquish though!)

Just bought my third Aston Martin. Started with a 2005 DB9 Volante I bought off a friend in 2014. Then a new DB11 in 2017 and yesterday px’d it in for a new DBX. It was a dealer stock car in Minotaur Green with a two tone interior. I loved the DB11 and was sad to see it go but after 4.5 years I fancied a change and the reality was the DB11 was getting used less and less so hopefully the DBX will get more use. The dealer dog proofed the back seat as part of the deal.

My 1st Aston was a nearly new 2001 DB7 V12 Vantage. It seemed to be in for repairs more than I drove it, so after just 8 months I swapped it for a Jag XJR.

My current 2015 Vanquish is wonderful and at my age, 70, will most likely be my last purchase of that kind of car. I hope it lasts me a good few years.

bump - the thread deserves it. It’s always great to see all the photos.

On OP Jon’s subject - there must be many more now who can offer insight into marque loyalty and multi-era ownership experience…
