Aston Martin - Owners who have bought more than one car.
Discussion
Just three for me.
Had the DB9 the longest. Loved it but couldn’t resist the lure of a Volante after a trip with a bunch of bell ends to the south of France, so picked up a lovely DBS Volante on my return.
Then I made the biggest Aston Martin PH mistake ever, and borrowed a manual V12VS for a weekend. I had to have one!!
2005 TouchTronic DB9 - Onyx with Sandstorm.
2010 TouchTronic DBS Volante - Quantum with Lords Red and Obsidian
2018 Manual V12 AMR Roadster (yet to be delivered) - Scintilla with Lords Red and Pure Black

1999 DB7 Antrim Blue with cream, I think (can't quite remember).
2001 DB7 Woodland (?) green with green
2004 DB9 Oyster silver with grey
2006 DB9 Grey/Silver (Can't quite remember the exact one), oxblood interior. All the above were not as good as they should be, dynamically, then..
2010 DBS Hammerhead/Obsidian Brilliant car compared to all the previous ones; just what I wanted it to be.
Break due to family stuff etc, then
2010 V8 Vantage N420, hated the Sportshift box, but tried a manual V12, so, as you do....
2010 V12 Vantage coupe. Utterly brilliant.
2017 DB9 GT Volante, just for three months while waiting for...
2017 V12VSR manual. The best car ever. In every way. Hopefully will never part with it and will rack up 100,000 miles on the way. 5,000 so far in 9 months but some long trips to come this year. just back from Edinburgh this weekend; the road from Edinburgh to Moffat on a quiet Sunday morning is 40-odd miles of brilliant road which just needs to be taken at a reasonable speed!

Oops - bit late to the party on this one, but here goes.
Placed an order for an early 4.3 V8 Vantage but due to one thing and another I ended up cancelling and getting my deposit back. Ran two Porsche 997 C2S's then for the next two years then
2009 - 4.7 V8 Vantage, Onyx Black, Sports Seats and all black interior. Ran the car for a year and loved it to pieces. During the first service a conversation struck up with the sales team which went along the lines of, "its the best car I have ever owned, I love it. The only thing I would consider swapping it for is one of those" <points at a V12 Vantage in the showroom>, "but you wouldn't sell me one of those for what I would be prepared to pay". The salesman said, "Hmmm, we might".... 1 month later...
2010 - V12 Vantage, Meterorite Silver, Lightweight Seats and all black interior. Ran the car for 2 years very happy indeed, then one day my local dealer just happned to get a brand new V12 Vantage in stock in a rather interesting spec.... Similar conversation and.... 1 month later
2012 - V12 Vantage, Morning Frost White, Lightweight Seats and Chancellor Red Alcantara and Black Leather trim. Ran the car for 4 years (which is a record by a huge margin for me, having owned 28 cars in 30 years). Best car ever and found it very hard to decide where to go next, so decided to get something cheaper (to avoid disappointment) and go back to Porsche.
2016 - Ordered and took delivery of a Cayman GT4, which after just 3 months had me back in the Aston showroom, debating buying either a GT8 or a soon to be announced V12VSM. Decided on the V12VSM, factory build to my personal dream spec, which then took another 9 months to arrive.
2017 - V12 Vantage S, Kermit Green (Q paint), Lightweight Seats and Pure Black Alcantara and Leather interior with Lime Stitching, Various Q trim items, V12 Zagato Wheels and AMR Aerokit (added later). Quite simply my dream car, it's a total beast to drive and looks the dogs (IMHO).

Love Kermit - the spec just works so well.Placed an order for an early 4.3 V8 Vantage but due to one thing and another I ended up cancelling and getting my deposit back. Ran two Porsche 997 C2S's then for the next two years then

Ok then my 'Aston' history:-
DB9 Meteorite with Iron Ore replaced with
DB9 Le Mans (bought as a keeper)
added V8 Roadster manual in Lightning Silver (replaced F355 - perhaps should have kept that)
replaced V8R with V12V Morning Frost ( beautiful car)
replaced V12V with V12VR Roadster in Volcano Red ( went to a great home)
added DB6 Vantage Caribbean Pearl ( stunning but expensive to keep on the road - don't need a garage for it its always having something done)
replaced DB9 LM with DB9 GT BE ( what a great car - another keeper )
replaced V12VR with (hopefully) V12VR AMR Zaffre hopefully in build this week.
As Jon mentioned me in his post I'd thought to add a slight correction.
I've owned 3 Astons,not two.
The first was a DB6 MK2 in Caribbean pearl.
Then after a series of family cars I had a yearning for another Aston and decided on a Virage.
Sold that after 3 years and presently have my DB9 Volante.
For me the appeal of an Aston Martin is in the discreet styling that is the epitome of British design.

I finally fulfilled my Schoolboy dream and bought my 1988 V8 Vantage X pack 10 years ago which I still have and will never sell
Then in 07 my Wife bought a new DB7 Sport Pack which she sold and bought a New DBS V Carbon black in Dec 10, still have that too but only covered 2000 miles
Then last Sept I bought a 2013 V12V to use daily.
So currently have 3 Astons but owned 4.

Can you be the car and male equivalent of crazy cat lady.
I still own 3 & 4 but will hopefully see #3 to a new home this year. None have been resale black inside
I have a Porsche itch I'd like to scratch at somepoint but I think, given good health, they'll always be an AM in my garage for as long as it's viable
