The question on mixing tyres has come up before and someone checked with Michelin. They dont recommend mixing tyres. Its a tricky one, if you have an accident you now have non OEM approved tyres in 2 different specs on the car that is not recommend by the car or tyre manufacturer. Could be an excuse for the insurer to reduce any payout.
Michelin will never officially recommend mixing tyres, but there's no way your insurance company could wriggle out of a claim. As long as the tyres were of a legal tread depth and e marked they can't.

I don't think you can get the matching 285/35 ZR19 for the rears in PS4 and Michelin don't recommend mixing PS4 and PS4S

Has anyone tried 255/40/19 with a 285/35/19 rear on the ps4s’s?

And as I correct in saying the rim width on a 2016 vantage v8 is 8.5j front and 10j rear?

I could understand having PS4S on the front and PS4 on the rear might be an issue.

But PS4 on the front and PS4S on the rear should not be a problem, unless I'm missing something.
jon- might chip in and correct me but I'd think you would get a car that would be prone to understeer on the limit, although most would think that a better compromise than one that wants to swap ends on you

Bridgestone have just brought out new Potenza sport tyres that have got great reviews comparable to PS4S an Conti SC6 but guess what not available in 285/35 19 size .
Just swapped my Oem bridgestones which only had 4,000 miles on to Continental Sport Contact 6 . Very happy that well worth the £800 spent to improve ride rather than spending £5k+ for adjustable suspension.

I recently made the same move. Agree with your comment on the ride improvement but have you noticed a slight increase in road roar from the rear on some surfaces?

edited to add
I quite like the "GT" nature of the V8V on "Comfort" suspension, so road noise is important to me as I cruise (at the legal limit, of course rolleyes) and listen to voice radio

Anyone has any opinion of Bridegstone Potenza Sport vs Potenza RE050A vs Conti Sport C 6?

Replacing on Vantage V8 2018 245/40R19 and 285/35R19 front / rear..

Michelin is only available in Pilot CUP 2 XL - which is track and not for my road only use...

Easy answer:
Buy the Conti Sport Contact 6 - because it is the only excellent tyre available in the right sizes for the V8 Vantage in 245/40R19 and 285/35R19.
The Bridgestone Potenza Sport is relatively new and the size for the 285/35 rear tyre is not (yet) available. (It should be available in the smaller 235 and 275 sizes for the 4.3 Vantage)
The Potenza RE050A is completely outdated. Don´t buy this tyre!

Thank you @Nbgring - that is great information. My supplier actually said that all this are available. I will double check.

Will this size (245/40R19 and 285/35R19) fit any of orignal wheels - I have 19" V-SPOKE DIAMOND TURNED - Product Code(s): BG33-36-10648. Anyone knows about that?

I understand that you have a late V8V manufactured in 2017 or 2018, with 19 inch V-spoke cast alloy wheels.
The front wheels will be 8.5J x 19, and the rears 10.0J x 19.
If this information is correct, then the recommended tyres would fit.
These tyres also fit on the non-S-Vantage with 8.5J x 19 and 9.5J x 19 wheels.

Make sure you get these and not the Audi (RO1) or BMW (*) versions.

Hi all,

Just changed the tyres on my 4.7 Vantage, and went from the OEM Bridgestones (Potenza AM9) to the new Potenza Sport.

I only drove a short distance with the new tyres and at slow speeds but the difference in ride quality is quite remarkable.

Note that the OEMs where less than 4 years old and had around 10.000kms (6k miles) on them. Also the car is always parked on tyre cushions, so it's clear that the difference lies on the tyre quality and not due to the old tyres being worn etc.

Also did an alignment while at it

Also a bit irrelevant since i'm abroad, but if anyone here is based in Greece, i could not speak highly enough for the shop that did the job! Amazing level of service and attention to detail!

I assume you have 275/35 ZR19 rears, as I didn’t think they had brought 285’s in Potenza Sport to the EU

I'd say keep an eye on wear, but it doesn't look like the car does too many miles smile

Exactly, it's an early 4.7 with Sportspack wheels.

Hi ds, i have just ordered Pirelli PZeros for the back as the corsa,s on the front are still good so wanted to keep Pirellis all round, they are also AM8 Aston approved.

For a V12VS you are looking for 255/35 ZR19 (96Y) front and 295/30 ZR19 (100Y) rear tyres?

Then you probably would select a pair of these:
Bridgestone Potenza Sport XL 255/35 ZR19 (96Y) and 295/30 ZR19 (100Y),
or Continental SportContact 6 XL,
or MICHELIN Pilot Sport 4S XL.

All relatively new and up to date tyres which have performed well in recent independent tests.

Watch out for extra understeer in the wet!

Yesterday around midnight, while driving back from Lugano to Milan on the highway, I was caught by one of the worst thunderstorms I have ever witnessed, surely the worst one in the Aston.

I fitted new Michelin Pilot Sport 4S on the car 2000 kms ago, I must say they have been flawless in this occasion. No aquaplaning whatsoever even in a flooded section that caught me off guard at a probably little-higher-than-sensible speed. I have this feeling that with used up Potenzas, I would have been straight in the guard rail.

I agree on that for new ones...but be carefull once the thread depth is reduced below 50%.
But I guess that is not specific to the PS4s but to all similar patterned tyres.
