Hi, I haven't really ventured much into these forums, but my father needs some new tyres for his W219 CLS350 and I thought this would be the best place for the opinions of any fellow CLS (or maybe E class) owners.

The car currently has Continental ContiSportContact 3 tyres fitted (245/45R17), the new equivalent choice would be a set of 'MO' ContiSportContact 5 at £430 (+ fitting).

Looking at alternatives (non 'MO') there is the Continental Premium Contact 6 (£416)
Or mid range options, Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta (£288) or Kumho KU39 Ecsta LE Sport (£284)

With the CLS350 being a relatively big and heavy car and more for comfort rather than sporty handling, is there a 'better' tyre choice or any other options I haven't looked at? Any feedback/experiences would be appreciated, many thanks smile

Following recommendations on a dedicated Mercedes forum I recently fitted uniroyal rainsport 3 to my E class. They grip well and are very quiet, too early to comment on wear but apparently they do not last too long but are cheap enough not to worry (£110 each for 285/35 18).
