Hi all,

I’m in the market for this car and can see there is s big spread on prices and only a couple of good examples around the 85k mark. Have these prices moved mu I’ve over the last year or 2? I’m told / a suggestion was made that these are to be future classics? I’m going to get one for the drive but if the value flat lines or moves north it will be a bonus...

Recommend you post this into the AM sub-forum, very active and a whole lot of knowledge there.

I think it's fair to say prices have spread out a little lately. Decide on the spec and colour you like and start from there. If you have your heart set on lightweight seats then there is little/no choice from the dealer network but there always seems to be a few on Autotrader. The later cars are slightly better spec'd with Garmin sat nav and revised wipers. If I was buying again right now then the one that takes my fancy is the Tungsten Silver car at Reading for £80k. The Storm Black car at Nottingham seems a bargain price at £70k but Mayfair have a Ceramic Grey 13 Plate for £85k. Thats a really pretty colour in the sun. The Tom Hartley car has been sitting for over a year now and the price has dropped by £10k already so there may be a deal to be done there. Left field choice would be the Magma Red car at DK Engineering because of the spec but the mileage is higher. Buy on general condition and mileage and make sure you have a full and traceable history

Hey OP,

There are a few of us with V12 vantages here. I guess you're look at the original 6 speed version? The prices are the lowest I've ever seen them - primarily I believe driven by a few coming to market as some upgrade to either the new Vantage or DBS. They're incredible machines and if you can drive one - I would - you'll be sold. I'd also say don't let miles put you off - these are cars to be driven and it's condition that's important.

Any question - I'm sure we'll all help with answers as required.

Good luck!

Cheers

Chris.

There's more scope for dropping in price as Astons are mileage dependent and as they get older they will accrue more mileage
I can't see a V12V manual with 85k on the clock selling for more than 60k

Well considering one with half the miles is struggling to hit 60k at the moment, i would say you'd be looking at 50k at best.

Bargain.

IMHO opinion the uber low mileage cars have now found their way into "collections"

The rest are now being used for their intended purpose and mileage will affect values.

Look at the high (in AM terms) DBS's. They just don't shift.

Not sure what was meant by the DBS comment? I have a manual v12v already 12k miles immaculate lightweight seats B&O system etc and picked it up for 80k. Thinking of getting another but with lower miles I’m thinking if one pops up with similar spec under 90k and under 10k miles it may be worth looking at for holding onto and future value

That's got to be due a rebuild soon, surely? I do admire those who can still use their cars throughout the seasons no matter what. Around 800 miles a year must really test the resolve of the driver.

Mine is Jan 2010 car with 17k miles, I do around 2000 miles pa. I’m happy with that. I fit a drive in when I can, so keeps the mileage reasonable. Think £75k is a good valuation and that’s been the case for last 3-4 years.
