I have a sudden hankering for a Union Jack enamelled Aston Martin wings boot emblem, and possibly the same for the bonnet emblem. Has anyone done this? Where is the best place to buy them please? Any idea of price? Were you pleased with the Union Jack badge change?

Thanks

I was tempted to do this myself, unfortunately an Aston dealer quoted me £600 per badge 😮 hence the temptation didn’t last very long

They are rather expensive, and hence many people have simply purchased a dome gell sticker which you can place over the top of the original.

It's pretty much a perfect fit

Hi

I have them (the badges not the eBay stickers) on front and back. Bought them from the dealer. They are expensive but I love them on my skyfall silver Aston.

Regards

Josh

Hi

Agree to disagree. smile In any case when Aston Martin fitted them they gave me my originals back so I can always have them refitted if I ever want to. What I will say is that the car gets even more attention from pesdestrians when they cross in front of it. They all stare at the Union Jack wings. smile

They are staring at a Union Jack AM badge ?

The words of someone who’s trying to convince himself he’s spent his money well surely .

I’m glad you and to disagree....

Have the gel one on my bonnet. Swap it out about every 4 months or so when it starts to look a bit weathered. So that’s about $25 so far.

Ha. Never try and convince myself I have spent my money well. Gave that up when I started buying cars that depreciate with such vigour smile. Re the looks. I know it’s weird but there is definetly more looks, double takes and photos taken as they cross in front.

In any case I love them smile

Had mine changed on my magnetic silver, look so much better than the original badges (not that I have any issue with the originals) and attract a lot of very positive attention to the point where it’s the most common comment about the car.

The only challenge is getting them now, they will now only supply based on a halo chassis number according to my dealer.

I believe they're made by Vaughtons though they don't supply them directly to the public. They do many different iterations also for those people who don't necessarily like the Union Flag variant but want something different to the standard wings.

Do you have any photos of your car with them , The ebay ones seem to have two types ones with white facings the others in black

I think the ebay listing linked previously is a little naughty, the first photo looks like the item they are selling, the second photo looks like a stock photo of the original Aston Badge to me. scratchchin

my thoughts as well

you can get surplus wing badges in US / China / Mexico / Germany colours that were used by Aston Martin racing....no Union flags though

or carbon fibre , I saw one of these fitted to a new DBS ......stunning ....but at £1,150 each ,,a tad too pricey !!

I bought a set of the Union Jack badges last year but have been hesitant to install them with some people saying they aren't as classy as the originals. I am in two minds about it and hence they are still in my drawer!

Plus 1.

A bidding war, but Hump probably has more contacts to get some.

I wonder if Q would let you design your own design - family crest anyone?
