Afternoon all,

After being messed around by main dealer and receiving an absolutely shocking service, nearly 3 weeks after ordering some touch up paint in Storm Black, it still hasn't arrived.

Is there anyone on here who has some that I can buy from you that you could post on a next day delivery service so that I could get it for Tuesday? I am having my car wrapped on Wednesday and thanks to the main dealer being frighteningly incompetent, I won't receive it in time.

Cheers

Hi Steve, to save time and money with a courier, storm black is paint code AST5052D and any reputable bodyshop or paint supplier should be able to mix a pot for you.

Thank you for the replies.

I just wanted to say a special thank you to Simon Lane who has gone out of his way to help me sort this. He has managed to source the paint this morning and is shipping it off today. Can't thank Simon enough for helping me sort this, genuine service going that extra mile!

Just a heads up to anyone else as this isn't my first bad experience with Aston Martin Leeds who are my local dealer who I tried to source the paint from originally. The customer service they provide is appalling, they managed to make a real hash of a clutch replacement on a V8 Vantage I had many years a go and when I went there to buy my Vanquish a few years later, were completely disinterested and I ended up buying one a week later from Southampton. Having originally being told I would have the paint within 4 days, 3 weeks a go, they have since promised me calls back which didn't always materialise and have completely failed to source the bit of touch up paint I needed, despite knowing my car was being detailed and wrapped so time was tight.

Anyone in the market for an Aston or replacement parts, I'd suggest looking further a field if Leeds is your nearest branch.

Kudos to Simon who (perhaps despite being an AML dealer principle) appears to be a proper petrol head. If I’m ever in the area I’ll maybe pop in to test that theory further.

Top marks for those involved sorting the issue out.
I'm surprised the original main dealer offered to supply paint in the first place, I required a pot of touch up paint recently and called my local dealer and they where a little embarrassed to give me a price, but were more than happy to give me the paint code and tell me to get some from somewhere more suited to supplying paint, I order it from carpaintwizardwink
