Got to throw my hat in the ring on this .

Not keen on seeing AM cars with OO 07 *** number plates , some of the V12 *** leave a lot to be desired as well , same goes for McLaren cars with MCL plates , just think they cheapen the car .

A traditional “ private plate “ is fine though.
I used to hate private plates. But when I bought my DB9 some years ago it just didn’t look right on a full 7 digit number (CU58 something from memory). I don’t know why. So I bought a private plate.

Now I just see them as a bit of fun. Albeit I’m not sure I would be bold enough to put a 007 plate on, would be hugely disappointing for passers by to see that plate and then me getting out of the car (looking far from Bond-like)

I am sorry to say that I read that as 'Soot Way' as in, well, you know, back passages etc.......
Should have gone to Specsavers.

I bought a plate several years ago for my son and I, specifically went for our favourite sport as opposed to a make/model of car!

Totally agree, and I have never heard of soot way meaning back passage, that's just silly

Not sure about the back passage link laugh

It wouldn't look completely out of place on a chimney sweeps van though.

This

007 plates on any Aston are completely cringeworthy.

Trust my initials and favourite number is OK (another excuse for a photo smile )

Nice number.
Correct size for such a short combination.
No plinth.

What’s not to like ?

HR Owen had (May still do) a v12vsm with VA11TGE which looked really good on the car. I have 97RS on one and VV12 SVV on another. Never had an issue with plates, I even saw 007 on a Guernsey DB9 last year, plate must be worth more than the car!

Forgot to mention I was offered N430 AMV by someone off here , his valuation and mine were just too far apart to meet .

Would have looked canny on my N430 as well.

My car came with a V12 number left on it by the previous owner and my opinion of it changes by the day.

V12 AMR on surprisingly, a V12AMR. Nice and cheap in NZ any six digits as long as not already in use, makes for some interesting plates.
