Can someone tell me when the V8V got a front splitter? I think one would look good on my 2007 car and was wondering if one from later car would fit without resorting to changing the front bumper. Thanks, David.

Hi David

I think from memory it was the 2012.25 model year update. Looks like a V12 but it isn’t made from carbon fibre. Probably a lot cheaper to repair or replace if it gets damaged though!

ETA I’m not sure, but I suspect the whole front bumper would need to be swapped over.

Hope that helps

Best Regards

Hi David

The later bumper which was fitted to the V12V and V8S and standard from 2012.25 model year will require the bumper updating as well. Upgrade kits are available for ££££

But there is an aftermarket splitter which fits the bottom of the original bumper design

Rambo the first splitters came out in 2007. AM used them on the N24 race cars Rose and Kermit.

Prodrive offered a more integrated solution around the same time.

AM then offered a subtle version on the N400 that extended from the center section of the valence.

If you want to fit either a Carbon Fibre or Plastic front splitter (as fitted to MY 2012 Vantage) you have to replace the following

New Bumper
Front Splitter
Both Wheel Arch liners
Front under tray
Lower front plastic grille

The new aluminium front under tray also requires to be modified to have a "Letter Box" style cut out done to it to allow air to the oil cooler.

AM do a full parts kit in either Carbon Fibre or Plastic (to fit front splitter and also rear diffuser) etc which is the cheapest way to upgrade your pre 2012 Vantage.

Thanks for all the info chaps.

Great pictures V8Vantage, think the splitter looks good on the earlier cars.

Shall have to think about sourcing one when funds allow although probably f/g rather than c/ff as functionally should be the same for lower cost.

Cheers, Rambo.

They do look good on the early cars Rambo, mine is the yellow one with the subtle N400 splitter. Be careful going for larger ones as it does upset the aero balance if you don't fit something at the rear also. Add in a pair of N24 carbon sills and you'll be styling!

You are right Roo, the N400 is the best way to go. Do you know if anyone is doing replicas or is AM the only supplier?

Rambo you can find them in the UK here, they are a little bit bigger than the N400 one but close. https://www.divinatech.com/vantage-carbon-splitter... You can also source them from China but quality isn't as good.

Thanks Roo, davinatech one looks to be the way to go.

Will put it on the list after DB7 tyres, V8V paint correction/ coating/self heal protection and new wheel centres but pays to plan ahead I always think!

This is the splitter we based our design on when we made 10 of them wink

Might get some more done this spring.

How much did they ended costing and do you plan on getting more made? I currently have the OYA version but never like the way it goes past the side fender.
