I have it bookmarked - one of, if not the best TG review - but I’m slightly biased. In this case less of JC is definitely more.

As my Vantage only has eight cylinders I guess mine is “Wonderful, wonderful” rather than “Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful” biggrin

All I know is I don’t own any Aston but it was that video I saw on top gear over 3 years ago that put me on this journey to getting one, so I promised the wife it was sensible to get rid of the mortgage ASAP! So with a bit of luck next year!!

So when I drive out the garage in a V8 I will say it’s wonderful, wonderful wonderful!

This may be of interest... https://www.carpricetracker.com/search/636/V12+VAN...

The site seems to have had a break for a few months, I just started receiving alerts again and the history graph has a break between last summer and now. If you go to " browse searches" you have access to all others that people have setup, which will show price history back to whenever it was setup. What is tracked depends what else they may have set as the PH or AT search parameters as well though. Eg mileage, colour etc

Me too, but at that point in time, I was more saddened (foolishly) about TG ending ...

Many people think that Mako Blue in sunshine is Lightning Silver.

There's a post on here where someone stated that they were going to buy KX09 GXR and they described it as titanium Silver.

I owned a Titanium Silver V8 Vantage, I don't think the "wonderful, wonderful, wonderful" car is Titanium Silver.

https://vehicleenquiry.service.gov.uk/ConfirmVehic...

Says silver.

But the DVLA records are pretty rubbish. I had to get a new V5 issued since the VIN on the V5 was incorrect. Hence I don't trust their data.

No. As I said in the post above yours, "Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful" is reserved for the V12; as V8 owners we are only entitled to "Wonderful, wonderful" (the going rate is one "wonderful" per four cylinders of loveliness) laugh

I hope you complete your journey. I have admired Astons for years (007 anyone? rolleyes Yes, I had the Corgi model of the DB5), was allowed to drive a friend's Newport Pagnell V8 (it was like a gentleman's club that hurled itself at the horizon when bid) and a couple of years ago after a closer association that did nothing to put me off, I came into funds to allow me to acquire my V8V. You have to understand them and appreciate them for what they are - an analogue car in a digital world, and a hand-built one to boot - with all that implies. They are not Porsches. They are not Audi-owned Lamborghinis. They are not Ferraris. They are not the fastest (although quick enough to lose your licence easily). They are not the best handling (although much better than I am through the twisties). What they are is very, very special.

Lmao I will keep that in mind when I drive out the garage!

I have never even sat in one or anything even like it but coming from a Ford Focus ST it will be so different I can’t wait

Thanks for the post, special and beautiful but British , can’t beat that

It's a good job they are ditching the V6. Could have been awkward.

"Wonderful wonde" said in my best Clarkson voice.

Don't worry about the mortgage, Get one Now!!!!! life's too short.

I've still got a mortgage and other stuff and i'm no big earner but I still persuaded HWMBO to get a DB9, although she loves them too!!

Leverage the mortgage!

I bought my v12v for £65.3k in Feb 2020 and the HWM is pretty much the same owners, miles (unsure if that one carbon seats) at £73k a year later.

I think it was fate telling me not to sell, however I have cancelled the sale of mine. BR continue to investigate the misfire. I will revisit next year when hopefully we have moved to a house with a bigger garage, as finding a replacement car was limiting me to something 4.6 m in length!

The Mrs wasn’t happy at me selling it either, not often a car sale elicits a response from her!

Good news that you are keeping it corner. Keep us informed of what the problem is, please.
