Vowed that this year I'd stop looking for excuses not to drive my cars, and find excuses to drive them instead, so took it along to the local AMOC meet.
A 595bhp RWD coupe might not be the best choice for a night time drive in heavy rain and fog, but when it looks and sounds this good who cares!

So ive always liked the original sills from the 06-08 Vantage in preference to the options which came later with the N400, V12 etc

here's my car converted back to original sills

makes so much more of the swell of the rear arches

Looking good.
I like what you have done, but I would say that.

You probably now have an almost unique V12V (V600 also has original sills).

Think the originals on the V8V were available until MY 2012.25.

Very nice Graeme, not many go in that direction, looks great and actually it`s an update, as the final V12 Vantage had these sills! wink

Dewi, Dean

Thanks for your comments

I know it won't be to everyone's taste but as you know these cars are so special it's rewarding to be able to make them your own

We are all very lucky to be able to own them

yes agreed, shows up the shape of the car very well and better than the later sills. I had the choice of either when I bought my 4.7 and choose the original as above.

Finally had chance to sort out an annoying rattle within the passenger doorclap turned out to be where the door card hangs on three pegs along the top, covered the pegs with foam pipe lagging which seems to have done the job coolsmile

Had a forensic 4 wheel alignment. My first in almost 6 years - well she was wearing tyres evenly and handling lovely after all. OMG they just made her better!

Turn in is better by reducing the too high neg rear cambers and making sure they were symmetrical on the axle. Also she had too much toe in on the front, and it was imbalanced. Toe in is great for stability but the Aston spec is actually toe out for a 'sportier' feel. We had discussed on the pre changes test drive how stable and planted she was on a bumpy twisty B road - technician actually said 'I couldn't do this in the DB9/DBS - would be all over the shop'. He was very impressed with their first Rapide - proud dad moment biggrin! So we kept a very slight toe in to maintain that stability and not dashing about over lorry ruts and cambers and kicking when crossing over white lines.

She's absolutely superb now and all corners symmetrical without tolerances/slop! Delighted!

you are my hero smile I’ve been looking for someone that has done this mod as I’ve been considering the same for the same reason as you.

Do you by any chance have a side on view, door level photo? My only concern is that the front splitter may appear too visually ‘heavy’ with the simplified sills.

Nice work clap

You mean the dreadnought v600?

Surely the final V12 Vantage is the R-Reforged resurrection of the V12 Vantage Zagato?
