So what have you done with your Aston today? (Vol. 2)

This sounds a bit wrong but I I always watch the mechanics and MOT guys as they drive my car and I think wow that car looks good.
Gives me a weird sense of smug satisfaction.
We are doing a public service as we drive our cars around letting them see such wonderful things.
I had the exact same thought when he was finished and driving it out of the test bay towards me - “Christ that’s a good looking car and I can’t believe it’s mine”.Gives me a weird sense of smug satisfaction.

I would wager MOT testers couldn’t give a fig about whether they’re presented with a sports or exotic, they must go through the full gamut every week. Mine certainly didn’t seem bothered in the slightest!
My outdoor cover finally arrived from Aston Parts 24-7 yesterday, after a considerable delay from the supplier which was itself facing raw material supply issues. Thanks to Peter in Aston Parts who kept me updated throughout the process. The weather held off this evening so I could wash and polish the Aston to within an inch of its life before biblical rain hits tomorrow (supposedly). Cover now fitted, she'll likely sit pretty until Beaulieu on the 21st. Also, I've said it before, but Autoglym Fast Glass is super, if it would do the same job on me I'd drink it if I could.
I understand the cover is the same that is supplied to AM direct by this particular supplier. It seems to be good quality, a quick water bottle pour test has water either running straight off or beading if the cover is flat.
I folded the mirrors and removed the aerial to avoid putting undue pressure on it. Does anyone have any recommendations for a stubby one that they use? I swapped the 'whip' aerial for a stubby on my old Z4, and I presume it's the same story here, i.e., it probably doesn't matter which one you use. In any case, for me it's either radio off and windows down for short journeys or death metal CDs for longer ones.
Bloody love this thing.

Nice.
As for the aerial I haven't done it since mine is integrated in the windshield, but it is a common, cheap and quick modification (the best kind):

You might even have more options now, the video is 4 years old already.

Christened my new Piano black waterfall in the Vantage...
It was already black Piano on the top/vents section than silver/grey on the central controls and bottom gear shift sections. But I changed the central section for a s/h gloss black and removed the flat bottom section, took all the bits off and had it painted at my local body shop for £45! Rather pleased with it.
