As I said Elwood Blue not Flugplatz before anyone asks. It’s brighter and deeper but as I said “ too “ in your face for a daily.
The “ replacement “ will be much more traditional colour in Lightening Silver with blue brakes , blue leather inserts in the Alcantara , some external louvred carbon for the side and bonnet gills plus a small bit of custom paintwork for the front grill as per my GT8 style.

It is a bold colour, but looks damn good! So, do I understand correctly that you have the Elwood now, but have specced a Lightning Silver to replace it next year? Blue calipers on Lightning sounds pretty inspired!

Sounds nice! Can't wait for the pictures.

That Elwood Blue looks great as a shade deeper than the flugplatz. Well done.

Elwood Blue. Could that be named after the huge Aston Martin fan (Vanquish and DB5 owner), and drummer extraordinaire who sometimes uses his middle name 'Elwood' in place of his surname to avoid recognition ? Probably not, but just a thought....

It always makes me think of Elwood Blues, as in Jake & Elwood Blues, aka The Blues Brothers.

I wonder what the actual inspiration was.

Took my lovely DB9.2 back to its roots. Drove most of the trip on the Fosse Way - so kind of those Romans to build us a great road on which to enjoy our 21st century toys.

For this...
Wow, Phil, you polished the yellow tang so well, that the dealer has nothing left to do.
P.S You'll have to change your forum name now! White Stone doesn't have quite the same ring to it!

I am wondering whether AML might have acquired that Maserati for comparison purposes.

Thanks CB and all the other posters for comments which not sought or deserved as I only chose the car already sitting in the showroom.
The Lightening one I’m looking forward to posting as be good to see reactions to my spec.
I like to think the V12S and the GT8 were fairly good results - although maybe ignore the GT8 as that divides opinion from the get go before it gets painted !

winterized the DBS , summer wheels removed , gave the underside a good clean and coated with ACF-50 to protect from rust over the winter period

original summer wheels

changed the colour to graphite after a vendor who came to change the tyres on my drive badly damaged an alloy while removing the old tyres with the tyre clamp
damage

... I was not best pleased , and the vendor paid for repairs . Took the wheels locally and had them colour matched to the winter wheels ...rather oddly the colour match that was identical to the Aston winters turned out to be Porsche graphite ?

here's the car on the summer wheels in graphite

and on winters fitted with Pirelli sotozeros

Ryan , no the Elwood Blue one - Special colour after the N420 race car I believe.
Tbh it’s too bright for a daily ( great as a Sunday car ) so I’m speccing a factory car for March.
All part of the deal as they say.
Blame Barista.
Congratulations matey, I adore new Vantage. I was with Barista Monday but managed to leave with my wallet intact.
