Car started first spin, after 7 month layoff, going very well even on year old super unleaded

I too think the WAR car looks to be a DB4GT, but the reg number used to be on a DB4 years ago, so is it possible that car has a new front?

Taken it to AMW for annual service. There’s a 1-77 up on a lift and a Vantage GT08 along with a number of Zagatos.

As a new owner of just 5 weeks, just tickling around the edges!
But so far I have

Replaced the number plate fixings as they were not great
Fixed the stuck boot springy thing and new patches on the frame where they land
Removed some sticky stuff on the inside tailgate frame as it was unsightly
Polished the tail pipes and removed all the black

All little bits but add to the overall smartness of the car

Still a wonderful place to sit and when it turns over from cold in the garage, that’s worth all the money!

That's a nice list. My version was:

Replaced the nasty dealer number plates with proper ones.
Replaced the boot struts - only to find that the new ones were no better. The problem is the mounting position.
Bought some service continuation sheets and got the history tidied up with help from Lancasters.
Polished the headlamp covers
Replaced the rather corroded wheel centre caps with new anthracite grey ones.
Removed the cover from the odd little sloping cubbyhole in the boot (because whatever you put in it slides out so I'll have the extra 1" boot depth instead).

It's a nice part of the ownership experience smile

NB What's supposed to go in the little sloping cubbyhole?

That’s good work there!

You could print those you need for free from the PDF manual.

It's central in the rear wall of the boot, quite high just under the warning triangle. About 18" wide and 4" deep. Goes back quite a way.

Oh and what's the smallest unit of volume known to physics? An AMG - Aston Martin Glovebox! fking useless thing. Can I get an A5 map in it? Nope. Owner's Manual? No chance. Tin of travel sweets? Yer 'avin a giraffe!

The maroon one is owned by the chap who owns Hotel de France. Clearly a man of fine taste. He also races classic Bentleys.

Two nice arses together:

They really are beautiful.

My new tyre repair kit fluid arrived today, as the one that came with the car had no use by date and so I think it was the original from 2013, so new one arrived and back in the car.

I think all the little bits that I needed for the new love of my life are all done now, just waiting on the car mats.

It's a pretty cool feeling when you sorted out all the little things after buying it, isn't it? It's really "yours" now. smile

Absolutely, the car, 2013, has had 4 owners, I truly intend to be its last!
