Nope, great run home. Lots of tyre noise but that's as the rears are 5 years old and the "brand new" fitted fronts from the dealer are the R050's so I'm going to stick a brand new set on it.

Congratulations, glad you got it home safely. Great weather this weekend in Glasgow, so I hope you’ve had some enjoyable runs out on familiar roads, albeit there is still a fair amount of salt on the roads, so a good wash down underneath is advisable.

Thanks smile

Had it on the ramp this evening to have a good look underneath it. I don't think it's been used over winter before as it's mint underneath. Will be keeping that going by only using it over the summer months.

I think it's probably worth starting a new thread. wink

But depending on the type of knock, it's probably more likely to be a bush... Drop links is where I'd start.

Agree. Knock is usually rubberwork, so drop link is first place I would start.

Bearing tends to be a rumble

Beautiful car, lovely colour, I bet you are glad you took the plunge now. Wonderful cars.

Re tyre noise, I went from the old Bridgstone to brand new PS4S on my previous Vantage (like yours) and never noticed any change in tyre noise. However, the performance difference between the two brands was startling. I understand I was comparing old Bridgstones to brand new Michelins but still the damp/wet road grip was a huge improvement as was steering feel.

I'm afraid tyre noise in the VH and the AM6 Vantages is way louder than I was anticipating, still to this day it's the biggest gripe I have with them.

And DB9s and Vanquishes! It's really very poor when you consider the cost of these things new.

Just replaced both headlight lenses from ECPS and repaired headlight and washer mounts, all went smoothly, looks like the lenses could be original as they have the same codes printed on them.

Damn - they look very good…

How much, if you don’t mind me asking

How hard was it to a) remove the headlight and b) swap the covers?
