Nope, great run home. Lots of tyre noise but that's as the rears are 5 years old and the "brand new" fitted fronts from the dealer are the R050's so I'm going to stick a brand new set on it.

Congratulations, glad you got it home safely. Great weather this weekend in Glasgow, so I hope you’ve had some enjoyable runs out on familiar roads, albeit there is still a fair amount of salt on the roads, so a good wash down underneath is advisable.camel_landy said:

wotcha think guys...
I think it's probably worth starting a new thread.
But depending on the type of knock, it's probably more likely to be a bush... Drop links is where I'd start.

Beautiful car, lovely colour, I bet you are glad you took the plunge now. Wonderful cars.Re tyre noise, I went from the old Bridgstone to brand new PS4S on my previous Vantage (like yours) and never noticed any change in tyre noise. However, the performance difference between the two brands was startling. I understand I was comparing old Bridgstones to brand new Michelins but still the damp/wet road grip was a huge improvement as was steering feel.
I'm afraid tyre noise in the VH and the AM6 Vantages is way louder than I was anticipating, still to this day it's the biggest gripe I have with them.
