Beautiful.
How wonderful to see teen age Aston Martins looking as new.
Many owners really cherish their cars.

BRM.
ETA…I think the Almond Green car was woodsypedia/Chris. And of course Adam has Kermit but that doesn’t count as it’s not a six speed original…

Lovely! Makes a change to see something in not black/grey/silver.Just wondering where that was advertised as I never saw it come up on carsales.com.au which is my general search location. Is there somewhere special I don't know about? Been looking for a DB9 or Rapide for a while now. Currently trying to get to see a Rapide if the seller would respond to messages!
Had new rear tyres fitted on 2019 Vantage. Went for a pair of Yokohama Advan 105S from Black Circles to replace the Pirelli P-Zeros that were on there. Two fitted were only slightly more money than a single homologated P-Zero, and they were also significantly cheaper than Michelin PS4S, which was my original choice. Time will tell if this was a poor decision, but since I don't do any track work I can't imagine it'll be too terrible. Once I've put a few miles on them it'll be interesting to see if I can deploy full throttle without spinning up, as always seemed to happen with Pirelli unless the surface was bone dry and the tyres really hot.

Please report back, Interested as well. I am also very keen on resolving the tyre skipping on full lock, but I reckon you still have the Pirelli on the front.Mr.Tremlini said:
Oh that`s nice Graeme, apple tree green? So now 2x V12V`s & a DBX?
Dean, yes this one I intend as a bit of a garage queen, only 22,000km hoping it starts to appreciate but will do some miles in it each year just to enjoy the manualIt’s actually Onyx black, with the green PPF wrap, but the colour is what sold me on it

To all of you thanks for the lovely comments and well wishes
The AM forum is a great place to visit and I enjoy the camaraderie and general atmosphere
Looking forward to having a manual again, but as I said to Dean it will be used sparingly.
Watermead, It was for sale on car sales, but only for 2 days before I convinced the seller that it needed to go to a credentialed buyer. Should collect it end of March
Thanks again
Will post more picks when I collect it

There's an additive you can put in the diff to help with judder. I had that done with my DB9 and it helped, though if a car is over-tyred I guess there's only so much it can do.Simpo Two said:

I am about to done mine, I believe it may help protect them to some extent from UV degradation.Back to the main topic.
Sunny day, so took my wife for lunch in the V8V to Caffeine&Machine's "The Hill", near Millbrook - a round trip of about 3 hours with a pizza half-way. And very nice it was too. Traffic moving well for a Friday afternoon in the UK - my wife reckons so many people still WFH on a Friday that the old Friday afternoon rush is much reduced.
There was a DB12 Volante with the roof down in the car park when we arrived - brave in the blustery conditions.
The DB12 had been replaced by a grey RHD C8 Corvette Z06 when we left (it had a private registration plate that sort-of spelt "Corvette" if you squinted hard enough). First time I'd seen a C8 in the metal (plastic?) - they are bloody enormous. I wouldn't have fancied threading that down the lanes round Millbrook with oncoming kamikaze van drivers
There was an ulterior motive for the trip too - I've recently had a Vantage 'S' back-box fitted and I wanted to check if it had affected the ability of the V8V to cruise on the motorway without the noise being intrusive - unsurprisingly it hasn't. You can hear a gentle V8 burble whereas before all you could hear was the tyre roar, with the added bonus that now, when the taps are opened, it sounds like a DB9's unruly little brother

just had PPF fitted to my windscreen
I’ve only just come across this in the last couple of months. How does it fair over time with wiper drag?
I assume you can’t use a brass screen scraper in freezing weather?
The normal advice is not to use a ceramic coat on your windscreen but is that then an option to help the rain bead off and not need the wipers much?
