Absolutely beautiful!
Thanks, also known as the rotbox or dog kennel, it was my daily driver from 1979 to 1986. Recently I've done 3000 miles in 9 years, so it's just been given a nose to tail checkover and recommission. Ideally it should have a respray, the 38 year old paint is now very poorI had a few wayward stitches on the passenger airbag cover that were right in the passenger eyeline:
So the upholsterer had the part back and fixed it:
I refitted it and patted myself on the back for specifying this interior:
I then gave the car a quick wash and decided I've not used her enough so its this weeks commuter bus:

Subtle exterior change are a personal choice....I like both.....equallyNow the interior absolutely a pat on the back for the stitch rectification......
And yes that is a great interior choice the diamond pattern is just so right to my eye...

Its a nice system, I'm looking forward to the guys getting their new HD screen up and running, super sharp carplay and cameras will really finish the system off perfectly

Bought a DBS manual... for the third time! I've learned my lesson now -- whatever else I try, this is my one true love. This one's a keeper to fully restore, although its in very good nick -- will start with new gear knob and steering wheel rim. It's true Bond spec (casino with manual and 2+0), of which there are apparently only 78 RHD made -- and was the original dealer demonstrator which I first drove for a weekend in August 2008.
Lovely! A future classic for sure especially with a stick. cayman-black said:
I like it because its unique, find another! You have done a great job and for most, it will be far more desirable but for me its the red.
That's completely fair enough too. I think with a black exterior or silver it'd have worked but for me looking at the back of the car and seeing the blue go to red through the rear window was gopping Edited by dbs2000 on Wednesday 15th July 08:41
My Vantage went to AM Nottingham last week to have new air con condensor and oil breather hose and to have corrosion on passenger door fixed. Luckily the paint is under warranty.
While it was there I also asked them to look at the exhaust valves as they were not working. Faulty switch has been replaced and they managed to reset my seats so memory 1 button works which no matter how many resets I tried I could not sort.
While its been gone a satin finish carbon fibre slam panel arrived and I love it! It will match my satin carbon door sills. Opted for satin over gloss for "internal" pieces, thought it looked a bit more modern, like the innards of Mclarens etc.
