All in good time! Not had a chance to get any decent ones yet. It's a DB9, tungsten/black, and I am of course very pleased with it!

I fitted another set of hue strip lamps in the garage. They turn blue when I drive in and then turn red when I approach the rear wall smile

My wife thinks I have gone too far with the garage! I can think of many more things to do!

Great idea and and a the car looks well at home there.......wives yes they just don’t get our needs at times......

Alas in these difficult times the idea I came up with is this I positioned this tennis ball from the string in the garage so that when I reverse in as soon as it touches the rear screen smile

Oooooh. That is interesting.

I have been considering something similar (except I would like an indication when the nose is safely inside so there is room at the back rather than the front).

Can you share some of the technology, please?

Hi. It is all Phillips Hue. Their lights. I use both the light stripa and the ones called play. The light strip is the outdoor one not the indoor.

I then also add two motion sensors again from Phillips Hue. One at the garage opening that activates and changes the lights blue when the car goes past and another near the back that changes the lights red when the car triggers it.

The Hue app is nice and simple to use. The sensors are wide angle so I use a price of wood attached to the wall to stop them activating too soon.

Yes they do it’s just that I have a couple of other toys that need to be kept inside from prying eyes and this simple method affords me the space.......

One of these and a mini digger......

40 plus years as a builder guess I need to stop driving this stuff around and use the car more smile

Took someone else’s advice and left it at home.

I travelled down to Devon to belatedly join the family on holiday. Nice blast out for the Aston, I’d thought. Wifey told me the lanes were unnervingly narrow. I checked with a mate who used to have a place down here. He confirmed. I was still dubious but opted to leave the Aston at home and took the Golf. Wisest decision imaginable. Reversing the Golf uphill and round a corner, on a single track lane with sides that could have been shrubs or rock was quite worrying enough, thank you!

So simple, I already have a hue strip and one sensor in the garage, I will get another one today biggrin

Can’t believe I didn’t think of it.....

Josh that's a brilliant set up, well impressed. Such a simple way to control the sensor with a mask. Well done that man.

Yes indeed they are, I’ve never grown out of the ‘machine’ aspect of building!

But my body after all these years is telling me otherwise!

Should you ever find yourself in the Bath area you are more than welcome to help with ‘landscaping’ the rest of my jungle smile

Ahah thank you for the invite, it would be my first time ever driving these!

I have and half-idea of driving up from Milan to Bamford Rose if and when my clutch will need replacement (hopefully at the latest possible time), I have no idea if Bath is close by or en route. smile
