I´m no expert, of course, but from what I have seen the new ignition coil part No. is or at least was: A 177 906 4202

This part was introduced to AE22 engines at AMG as a running change on 29/11/2018 from engine serial No. 17798060090723.

Emilio, so you mean that your part number is the revised one and mine the old one without water ingress protection? Will edit my post if so!

Judging from your photo it seems that A 177 906 0206 does feature a water ingress protection (three[?] rubber rings), too. But if it´s the correct part for your engine, I cannot tell, of course.

Yes, there are several of these Delphi coil packs on ebay (e.g. item 11057554570 and 336338866529) that show the RH photo version with the additional o-ring seals and with part number 0206.

However, I believe that the tube part with the seal is just a push on to the coil stem, so theoretically it should be possible to upgrade earlier versions if they are still working smoothly - assuming the tube can be obtained separately - or the original design modified.

I expect an AMG forum would provide the answer.

If these Delphi cols are anything like their O2 sensors... Stay far away
