Agree with comparing quotes, pointless unless you list all variables.

I was with Locktons on my classic 911 until Feb - didn’t have to claim but appeared to be quality cover (eg permitted taking (30yr old) car back to main dealer for repairs, no limits etc)

For some reason they were not competitive on my V12V, so went with Alan & Thomas - brokers for Zurich Private Clients. I get an AV when parked on my drive, waive of XS if I don’t ask for courtesy car, and fully comp on any car I drive. You do need a tracker though, luckily mine had a Vodafone fitted by previous owner.

Agree you can’t compare person to person. The £350 I quoted was in comparison to the £490 Churchill quoted me and I have had a multi car policy with them for several years. Loyalty isn’t rewarded, it pays to shop around and switch whenever necessary.

reviving this thread - how have people found renewal quotes from Lockton underwritten by AXA XL vs Chubb in terms of price? I'm renewing my insurance at end of the month.

I tried NFU who gave me a silly number but would appreciate any other recommendations.
