OK
So here is one I have been trying to get an answer for from Aston with no luck to date.

In 2012 Aston Martin sold 816 vehicles in the United States.
How many of those vehicles in 2012 where Rapides? How many Rapide S? and so on.

Have a great day!

In the UK, we could answer that type of question.
Car registrations here for every county are handled by a government department, called Driver Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA).
They issue quarterly data, available on the internet, including new registrations by make and model.

I don't know, but perhaps every state in the US deals individually, so does no one compile the whole country totals?

No one compiles the state totals, or rather they don’t publish the info. The only entity that would know is AML.

An oft heard remark in the UK, "I cannot tell you because I am prohibited by data protection", enables many 'employees' to enjoy finishing their cup of tea. wink

Bearing that in mind, it is perhaps surprising that we are even allowed to view model sales numbers.
We can even see the results of compulsory annual mechanical car inspections (MoT). Just type in any registration number and a complete history is revealed, including the mileage recorded.

One still hears about odometer clocking, but now you might be able to check the 30,000 mile car you have just bought, and possibly find that it had an MoT at 90,000 miles, 5 years ago.
