Wrapped = bag of wk 10 year old hot hatch driven by Kevin Ballache at 145mph everywhere.

No. Don't do it.

Always thought nardo grey would suit the vantage. Not sure I’d risk a wrap either, mind.

Results so far.

Don't Do It ... = 8
Do it ............ = 0
Not Sure ..... = 2

You decide . = 2

So the real result is ignore us; the 'You Decides' have it.

I can see the point of wrapping a car in a non standard colour to stand out. But to wrap it recession white I don't understand

I had my 2006 Vantage wrapped a few years ago. Got the alloys painted anthracite at the same time.
Looks beautiful!! Any pics at diff angles? I love that it doesn't look overtly 'wrapped', just a refreshed colour blend. Black roof looks great!

I have to agree that does look nice, especially the satin finish - so much better and in keeping than the clown cars in Jon39's earlier post.

I would just be really worried about eventually having it removing, especially knowing how delicate Aston paint can be.

Did they remove the badges, grilles, etc when they did it? or just trim around? I assume because of the relative scarcity of Vantages they didn't have a CAD pattern to allow pre-cut pieces to be generated.

Maybe have a look a Topaz Skin?

It's a real paint job, over a peelable undercoat.

I was always led to believe the vantage had a hardy paint rather than the polar opposite. Have I got that wrong all this time?!

LTP. Yes everything was stripped off.

Somehow the firm doing the wrap got their hands on an Aston technician who knew how everything came apart.

Cant comment on what will happen come the time to take it off thoughsmile I bought the story that as long as you know what you are doing it can be removed without damage.

It (mostly) meets all the Ford requirements for corrosion resistance, adhesion, stone chip resistance, etc but it is very prone to swirl marks and light scuffs (ask anyone with an Onyx or similar dark colour), basically because it is quite soft. I understand the paints AML use have to be suitable for a low-temperature bake compared with other OEMs due to the adhesive used bonding the aluminium structure

My detailer, when he did mine, said the transparent is very resistant and hard.

I think Paddy might disagree with your detailer.

I wrapped my 06 Tungsten Silver. As a few others have said, it's your car, do with it what you will.

You now have a 1 of 1. Very good.

Your user name might suggest that you are familiar with the ex-Tyrrell Formula One premises.
Therefore, did you ever consider having an Elf Blue wrap ?
