Has anyone found a good phone mount that suits our cars? I find the windscreen is so steeply raked and short in view out a window mount is not very suitable. The curved air vents mean a magnetic vent mount points the phone upwards too much.

Mine’s a DB9. Anyone found a really good solution?

Thanks,

J

This one works perfectly in my 2014 V12VS. Also in two other cars. Bought it in a Vodaphone shop two years ago. I keep it charged through the power outlet in the ash tray thing in the centre console, via an outlet to USB converter. Got that on Amazon.

Another pic. It’s spring loaded and works great with an iPhone 10.

I just use an air vent mount that pushes on, in the vent to left of the steering wheel. Switch that vent off. Have the same model in all the cars, works well for both our phones. Kenu Airframe. Had it for years, they did used to do different sizes, i think mine is the larger one

My iphone xs lives in a quadlock case, which conveniently fits perfectly at a perfect angle in the smaller cubby hole by the centre armrest.

I plug my phone in so it charges and connects via Bluetooth. Then I put it in the front seat pocket so it out of sight and I'm not tempted to fiddle with it while driving.

I 3D printed a holder for mine, unfortunately only suitable for Sportshift, can be turned to either landscape or portrait.

This is amazing! Could you be convinced to print a few to sell? I'd definitely be interested...

Do you need a magnetic plate stuck on the phone or case?

Hi Dom,
I can print some more but will need to know exact dimensions of phone or case.

I'd love one for my Galaxy s20 plus if you do get around to it, let me know prices but I'd much rather have it down there than on a vent smile

Yes, it comes with the mount, I’ve stuck mine to the inside of the phone case.
The video in the link shows all.

Brilliant work with the 3D printer, William.

Looking closely at your seat surface, I was puzzled by the leather having a surface pattern.
On my car the leather is smooth.

Are they two different types of leather and what would the leather names be ?

The perforated seats were an optional extra at time of purchase.

Is there any chance I could get the STL file from you or if you make a batch put my name down for one please?

Thanks

You would need to design a holder for your specific phone, mine is designed for an iPhone 11 pro.
