I would try and see if there are any fault codes?
Alot of system checks are carried out before the engine fires up and maybe the car see's a fault.
I persume you have fuel in the tank? Put some fresh petrol in.
Is there any rodent damage being in the garage so long
Try your spare key instead

If the PCM has stored the P0850 code, it means that the input circuit which measures the function of the park/neutral switch has given an abnormal voltage reading.
If the ECC has not been able to check all the monitors since the last time the vehicle's battery may have been disconnected or any repairs made which required clearing of trouble codes, the ECC may set a P1000 trouble code. Possible causes include:
Battery recently been disconnected
Powertrain Control Module (PCM) or ECC recently disconnected
OBD-II monitor failure detected before drive cycle completion
Recently cleared trouble codes via scan tool or diagnostics device
Try resetting all codes and look at the park/neutral switches in your ski slope but i suspect a low voltage issue.
Charge the battery and keep it on a ctek battery conditioner.
