Congratulations with your purchase Nick.
Great to see some coloured V12 Vantages!
There’s a WhatsApp group for non black/grey cars.
Yours makes me think of older 70’s/80’s V8 Vantages.
Not everyone’s cup of tea but very unique !
Enjoy the miles, it’s a wonderful, wonderful, wonderful car!

I must be some grumpy old git as I don’t do WotSlap, but yeah… it makes me thing of more classic AM interiors. I love the essence of those cars (if perhaps a little shy of ownership reality), so like that feel.

Congratulations Nick, I'm not a fan of the colour nor the wheel design however, the interior grows on you (it has me) even with the wooden waterfall.
I'm sure you will enjoy it to the max, great purchase.
Thanks! And that's why I had to wait 6 years for the right one. It's a very personal choice I'm sure you will enjoy it to the max, great purchase.

Wow! Amazing car Nick. Congratulations, I'm sure it will draw some attention. Enjoy the journey and welcome to the V12 brigade.
Thank you! It's an experience and a half!Ale_72 said:
It’s a v12v, even in boring black or frying pan grey would look fantastic, but this colour is superb.
When you have the chance of taking a few more pics of both interior and exterior I’d really enjoy seeing them.
Thanks! I was waiting for a good evening sun and just got the chance today. The colour changes so much dependent on the light. I have posted them here:When you have the chance of taking a few more pics of both interior and exterior I’d really enjoy seeing them.

Well, I've just hit 10,000 miles, so I thought I'd give an update...
Back in October 2021, I collected what became known as "Jekyll" from Aston Martin Walton on Thames (HWM). The name simply from its numberplate, but also reflective that the V12 Vantage AMR has an addictive split personality: part grand tourer, part hooligan!
Specified by the first owner alongside HWM's CEO, Guy Jenner, and executed by Aston Martin's Q department, its well known for it divisive paint colour, Cosmopolitan Yellow (in case you weren't aware by now). Plus its equally unique interior.
I know nothing of its first 2,200 miles and three years and it was unknown to the wider Aston Martin owner community until it appeared for sale one day on HWM's website. (Although having had the subsequent pleasure of getting to know AM's historian, Steve Waddingham, he recalls this unique car going down the production line.) The advert prompted this thread to start and there were fantastic early comments from those who can't stand the spec
Other commented they liked it, but it remains a divisive spec. And then a week after the advert went up, I saw it. And immediately knew it was for me having previously had two V8 Vantages. It remains the only car I've ever bought "sight unseen". Well, if you're gonna jump in the deep end...
Collecting it with Vee Junior was a fantastic occasion. HWM were, and have remained, a great place to do business. The drive back was spine tingling. The excitement when we walked away from it at the first service station on the route back was overwhelming. What the heck had we just bought, pinging like crazy in the sun?
And then the miles just started to pile on. I'd sold my second V8S because (a) Covid made be act irrationally and (b) I had to admit it wasn't getting used enough. Vee Junior insisted that if I were to waste money on a third Vantage, I may as well use it. So, with that instruction, I kept on driving it. Only when salt is laid on the road does it stay at home.
This is where my passion for photography also started to grow. With my trusty Canon, I found it hard to take bad photos of Jekyll. In the sunset when in the surrounding countryside. In dull weather, when making a pilgrimage to AM's HQ in Gaydon. In the depths of winter when meeting up with Phil Trussell - the first of many great new friends I've found along the way.
The photos started to get more arty as I hunted better roads and scenery in deepest Wales. (The image of Jekyll in the moors past the Lead mines towards Aberystwyth is still the header image on the Aston Martin Owners Club website, 6 months on!) And then I got the call asking if Jekyll could join three other very special VH Vantages at Gaydon for the launch of the new V12 Vantage. It would have been rude to say "no". Lined up with the "Vantage RS" concept car, Charlse's immaculate original V12 Vantage (manual) and the very last V600 "Dreadnaught" V12 Vantage in the history lane at Gaydon, I couldn't have been prouder!
Many gatherings - including Blenheim Palace and grouping three special Cosmopolitan Yellow Astons at Nicholas Mee & Co (with Dave Jones and his unique DB11) - and aimless joyful rides later, I have finally hit the 10,000 mile mark today, having a great day out with Vee Junior. Fittingly, whilst gulping in another tank of petroleum, which is an obsession for Jekyll.
I have never known another machine to bring so much joy and pride to not only me, but our household. It's brought friendship, smiles-upon-smiles, naughty laughter, a deeper interest in photography, plus a few new personal goals. In reality, it's so much more than a machine. It's a keeper. And it's on its journey to the next 10,000 happy miles.
PS - I have been posting mainly on Instagram along the way, in case you're very bored:
