Quite an interesting video showing the detail AM works go to when respraying a car.

Well worth a watch .

I have found JWW's videos at the Koenigsegg factory very interesting.

Amazing engineering innovations, so complex that it is not always easy to follow. Direct Drive; Free Valve camless engines; 3 cylinder 2 litre engine producing 600bhp (and how can two turbos be made to work with only 3 cylinders ?) and that is before the electric power is included.
Combined total power, a handy 1,700 bhp !!!

Almost all parts are made in house, to their own design. Even out of sight components are purposely made to have an impressive appearance.

He actually has some great content. I initially thought he’d be like those other UK look at me YouTubers, but he’s intelligent and a cut above.

I’m enjoying this DBS series a lot.

If you haven’t seen it, this video has some drool-worthy Aston + Zagato content.

I really struggle to watch him, he is at his best when interacting with someone interesting, but when he is on his own, discussing a car, then I can't take more than about 3 minutes

I’m with you Adam. I’m not a huge fan and I still don’t really understand why AM feel the need to be associated with him. But I guess that’s the world we live in now. However, I think it is quite interesting what he’s doing with his DBS. I did watch a previous video where the car was being pretty much completely dismantled in preparation for the colour change. I wonder if he is paying for it himself though. I would imagine that the work involved would be very time consuming and rather costly too. As Kevin said, anyone care to put on estimate on it!?

Best Regards

With YouTubers, no doubt there is a deal involved.
Could it be a free job, in exchange for the internet publicity ?

AML Marketing Dept. are probably counting all our postings, as a contrubution to marketing success. - smile

I wonder what figure he charged for the coverage (as well as getting a respray)...

(Yes, I remember the "outcry...")

Surely AM Works would not need to do this for free to get any internet publicity. Anyone who owns an Aston Martin or is familiar with the brand surely knows their history and what they now do.

I remember it too……oh well.

Nonetheless and interesting video and insight in to what it takes to paint a high end car. I’m a paint sprayer myself in the aerospace industry so a lot of this is common to the techniques and equipment we use but with some additional stages that are new to me such as static removal. Interesting stuff.

I think thats the bit for me, all nicey nicey in front of the camera, but behind maybe a different story.

Assume it might be a similar principle for his AM paint job

He then had the gall to lie about the proposal and say he didn't know anything about it rofl
