The Timeless Warranty I agree is well worth having . Can I ask what your own thoughts are , I know you mentioned DB11 and Vanquish and I have to admit that the DB11 is starting to grow on me . It still has a way to fall in second hand values however but the Vanquish less so .
I’ve had a lot of cars and lost a lot of money on them so I’m probably not the best person to ask. That said, I am now very cautious with my purchases.

Anyway, back to your question…..I really like the interior and usability of the DB11, but in all honestly I don’t think they are an exciting car to look at. There are a lot of them around and about a year ago dealers were really struggling to sell them (my nearest dealer had circa 25 DB11s on site and only half a dozen other models). I think they will depreciate quite quickly this year and continue to lose money. However I think the Vanquish may drop a little more in the short term but I can’t see good cars dropping below 70k. For really safe money I think a manual DBS is probably the best route, but that’s beyond the £80k I want to spend.

In that case its the Vantage V 12 or V12 S I would seriously be considering , for future residuals I think they are a no brainer and a much more focussed drivers tool than any Vanquish . Good luck with whatever you decide its a great position you find yourself in .

OP, if you haven’t seen it yet this video was quite comprehensive and should give some good insights.

I looked at prices here in France last week and saw that my Vanquish 2 would now cost me around 30k more to buy than what I paid 17 months ago.
Having said that, second hand cars in France are always a lot more expensive than the UK. Not that I'm complaining.

Owning and running an Aston is not cheap; you know that when you get on the merry-go-round. So just allow a little more for contingencies. If you want the badge, you have no choice anyway so crack on smile
TBF I’ve found my Vantage (2009) is no more expensive to run than an M car . And cheaper than a Porsche. Everyone’s experience is different I know, but my sense from being on this forum 3 years now is that they are relatively reliable and not too expensive on servicing. Just some things like a clutch can be a big hit if needed.

I must admit that I am running a year old Vantage and at a risk of offending the purists I have to say its a wonderful machine . What Aston have achieved here is almost on par with a mass produced 911 or F Type and with similar day to day running costs . I still have some Free Servicing as part of the Aston Package and I hope to take her to 25,000 miles then off her for another . The DB9 I had before was reliable too but it always felt like I was holding a stick of gelignite that could blow up in my face at any moment . It never did and I would buy another .

The DBS Superleggera in the video above is now at £135k, surely that's close enough to the floor for these cars, or are they likely to settle around £120k?
