Did anyone else get an email about the db11 successor this week?

Will it be a refresh or actually a successor?

It read as if it’s a refresh, new lights, new dash and apparently revised suspension, but it read as if it could (might)be getting a new name?

“……as one of our customers I would like to offer an invite to meet the heir to DB11. This is no mere GT. This is the next landmark in a lineage of legends…….”

I’ve not had an email but didn’t expect to really. But I have read some stuff elsewhere recently that suggests it may be called DB12……would make sense following on from your last line. I guess private viewings are probably taking place now, but as usual, no comments, phones, etc etc until the official reveal to the general public. Surely someone on here does know…….but probably can’t say!

Tbh i was surprised to get one, but if its like the green one i shared here a month or so back its hardly a big enough difference in my eyes to warrant a new name (not like db6-7-9-11)

But hope it sells well, I'm not the target market !

Introducing the all new ultra-luxury Aston Martin LS 1.
The first ultra-luxury model in our extremely exclusive, ultra-luxury LS brand collection.

You might think that it has some similarities to the predecessor, well it does have four wheels, but did you think we have loads of money to splash on development?
We are hopeful that we will soon have plenty of money though, because this is the first model with our new special 40% profit margin.
It has been specially designed for the type of people that I associate with, so the starting list price is a very reasonable ultra-luxury £600,000. No one will actually pay such a low price, because our LSQ department will want to fix you up with some exclusive options.

Very Jaguar looking imo.... Be good to see it in the flesh.

Here are the latest spy photos of the 'Winter Testing': https://www.motor1.com/news/658382/bmw-trademarkes...
(not sure why it's under 'BMW').

Looks like the new DB11 has taken a huge leap forward - a regular bonnet and just look at those updated wing mirrors. Amazing.

Thanks for those pics, actually looks like we might even see a return to the side strakes? That would be a big step forward imho to getting back to aston martin dna.

Years ago we could have some fun, after looking up prototypes on DVLA.

I guess the motor manufacturers must have had a cosy chat with DVLA (who know their data means money, selling and probably restricting), because only a very abbreviated record is now available publicly.

Perhaps there might be a power increase.
At new car launches, there is a tradition of always wanting to describe a few more bhp, the compulsory 1 centimetre of extra leg and shoulder room and the inevitable suspension improvements.

I think something has already been mentioned, about the car speaking 'proper English'.
That might have led to trouble, but fortunately the fishy woman in Scotland is leaving. - smile

Apparently almost entirely new - more aggressive , not too dissimilar to DBS front ,similar rear to existing 11, interior supposedly much improved.

I’m sure I read somewhere that they won’t be using a V12 in this car. Only V8s (maybe hybrids too?) and I assume possibly in a higher state of tune, perhaps à la DBX707? It will be interesting to see what changes are made, in particular to the interior, as I assume this template will form the basis for the updates to the other models in the range. By the way your GT8 looks absolutely fantastic. Definitely a keeper.

Yes I had heard that too about V8 only - I " think " launch editions have around 670 bhp so also implies another S version to come with as you say circa 707 esqe power.
Thanks on the GT8 comment - you're not wrong - not the fastest , not the most beautiful but as regards " theatre " and actual driving -nothing comes close that I've driven.

Brilliant smile There's probably a grammatical term for this little gem, but I'm sure as hell I don't know what it is.

I’m guessing it will be one car to replace the DB11 and DBSS. Better interior, infothingy, V8 and more ££ than the DB11.

I’m at a main dealer for a coffee thing tomorrow. I’ll see if I can uncover any secrets.

PH news today talks of the DB12 arriving at year end with both a V12 and 8.

Yes that's what my AML friends are calling it, launch is scheduled for mid-May. I'll find out more on Monday when I'm at NP.

it'll be somewhat funny if they replace the DBss and db11 with a single car. As you know... give them a year or two, and they will announce a DB12"s" that will be the hotter version etc.
