The next Vanquish

This week's Autocar features a reader photo of a new Vanquish undergoing testing in the UK.

The car looks like a normal Vanquish with a bit of tape around the wheelarches and front lights.

Autocar reckon it's likely to have a power boost and maybe a manual 'box.

However, I wouldn't have thought this is the Mk2 Vanquish as that's supposed to use the V/H platform and I'm sure any mules would look a bit more cut n' shut.

Any ideas?

I have an idea : Autocar are clueless

It was a customer Vanquish on it's way to Millbrook to be run in. The tape was on the leading edges to stop damage to the paint. The driver had stopped at a shop and the shot was taken whilst it was parked outside.

Hmmm, I thought as much

I can't really see the Vanquish getting any more mods (it's new dash/centre console seems to have passed the magazines by!) until it's replacement in around '08 (if the mags have it's launch date right!)

saw that Vanquish today at Millbrook. The rear end caught fire and it had to be towed away. No joke was there on Porsche Driving Experience.

If that WAS a customer car......I think they may be waiting a little longer for delivery then
