That £3,990,000 Diamond Jubilee Volante

Just wondered if anyone saw this in top marques in june 2000 for sale. I pulled out the advert & kept it because I didn't know whether to believe it or not.
Anyone else see it?

Bloody hell, wouldn't want to park it without a guard (I think it would be a bit annoying to have your diamond incrusted aston badge stolen!)

The car in question is a one off for the 50th anniversary of AM, currently for sale at £500k at the Aston Workshop in Beamish. But it also seems to be being marketed by a (possibly slightly questionable) finance house in W. Yorks, which has some lousy magazine scans of it on their website. Was there a number to call in the magazine ?

"Offers are invited in the region of £3,990,000" in writing to a certain pair of solicitors in Leeds. Personally I think £3,490,000 commission is a little greedy. Just had a peek on that finance company site. I was very impressed by the creased scans of the car also. Anyway, many thanks mrsd for shedding some light on the car.
