Interesting stuff. I'm moving to Switzerland in August and thinking about a V8 roadster. If anybody needs any local help after August drop me a line as I'm sure I'll be talking to the AM dealer

IIRC if the car has been registered in another country for 6 months it's VAT + Tax free when bringing it to Blighty.

So paying the 7.5% TVA in Switzerland and avoiding 17.5% VAT + 10% importy duty, is a good thing (tm)

Which is fine on slowly depreciating cars.

Agreed, but then you don't have a brand new UK registered car surely?

And I didn't think your view was that these depreciated surely.....

If you're bringing a car straight home, I really don't think you're going to be saving anything worth saving (when you consider that getting friendly with a dealer can be advantageous).

Now that is a bargain! And it's the 5 litre version as well.

The premium sound cassette player option sounds good too...
