A stunning car, beautifully detailed, love the lime highlights and interior. Fast, really fast, amazing roadholding at speed through both long sweepers and tight corners, lots of torque, plenty of acceleration and braking. A truly magnificent car.
But, it's a GT with a taste of sports car. If you like GT cars I would say it would be hard to beat as it can be almost a sports car too. I actually drove it faster through some familiar corners than I have driven them in the V12 ( it's truly a capable car)
I like the rawness of a sports car. I love driving my very fast (by Triumph standards) TR4 as it is a sports car and you need to be fully involved and committed to drive it fast and keep it on the road. I love my V12!V - noisy, fast, powerful and a little bit of a beast.
The DB 11AMR is too refined, too light to the touch ( light steering, light accelerator, feels amazingly light on the road for a heavy car). It's almost as though it's so good and comfortable even at speed that you lose connection with the process of driving a car fast.
Convinced me that I want a Vantage To go beside my V12 when I can afford it.
Hope that explains it.
Wonderful car, just not my perfect fit.

I have not driven this car yet, but even my shabby old DB9 has this nice but weird but nice heavy steering (vague and heavy to be precise), everything feels heavy, the suspension is crashy. A wonderfully flawed car.RMDB9 said:

Vague steering and crashy suspension. Sounds great. I don't recall my DB9 ever being like that. Perhaps that's why I moved to a DB11. But, perhaps not.Got it, thanks. This is the sentence that made me realise what you meant.

I had similar "lost connection/too efficient" feelings while test driving an RX-7 "Batmobile" after previously owning an RX-2 & RX-3, although I suspect we are talking about a somewhat different level of car...Graze01 said:
