HIS? is he trading in a micra convertable, with full Glee and Shirley Bassey collection?Any advice/forums/dealers/specialists I should know about?
Cheers in advance
Expensive and getting on a bit, many are going thru full refub/rebuild due to tin worm.
Buy one up north, cheaper than one in London.
usual stuff really.
its a 20 year old convertible - so hood and evidence of leaks are a high priority. Wet carpets etc
Also its auto so check box works ok, no delays in engaging D, P, R etc.
Service history especially for the timing belt.
Import - so check rust proofing and general tin worm issues
small wheels makes getting tyres a bit of a lottery

Not constructive im afraid....
buy him a couple of ping pong balls, so he can strap on a pair !
Sorry couldnt resisit.
Overall they are reliable and fun looking, but underpowered by todays supermini standards. As stated they will be quite old by now but they do still hold a real following with the enthusiasts.
If he wants something small and unusual, try a Daihatsu Copen, Suzuki Cappacino or a Smart coupe in preference.

Not got one, never had one, love 'em. It'd be nice if they did a new version, but it would only be a too-tall bloater so actually please forget I said that.
It's a K11 Micra underneath which is a reliable base.
