Very smart. Based on my low annual mileage I’d have preferred the V8 petrol but simply couldn’t find one at the time. Always nice to see an FX/QX on the road though - a bit of variety from the usual German wagons Luke. said:
Afternoon all. Just wondered if anyone was looking at selling their FX or QX in the next three months. Our leased XC60 goes back in January and really fancy one of these to replace it.
Hey Luke. I’m happy to have a chat if you’re interested in considering my diesel FX (photos posted above). Where in the UK are you? I’m near Reading in Berkshire. My wife and I need to make some car decisions ahead of child #2 in late Jan, so this is timelyd_shaw_uk said:

Just out of interest, what is the year and mileage of the car? Also do you have any interior pics?gbgti said:

My Dad recently bought an FX50S. Just looking for a service and general checkup. Has had some issues with tyre pressure sensors but should hopefully be a simple fix.
Must admit, having without delay grabbed the keys to it, I’m hugely impressed. Really hides its weight and is lovely to drive.

Nice. They're still on my radar should I ever get to a point soon where I can actually change cars!
Thanks. He was originally on the look out for a Range Rover but potential for going wrong was quite off putting. His BMW X5 had its fair share of failures over 100,000 miles so he didn’t want a similar experience. I happened to see the FX come up on Autotrader having remembered them being mentioned on PH a few times. minipower said:

I’ll ask my mate who’s colleague owns a V8 and works outside of West London (Surrey side)My Dad recently bought an FX50S. Just looking for a service and general checkup. Has had some issues with tyre pressure sensors but should hopefully be a simple fix.

That’s very much appreciated thanks. Happy to find a forum for these lovely cars!
I picked one up last week as a runabout for my girlfriend, knowing next to nothing about them before buying. We absolutely love it so far, it's nice to drive and full of toys.
There are 3 small niggles I'd like to sort out. The passenger heated seat doesn't work, is this a common problem and is there a common fix? There is a pulsing coming through the pedal when braking from high speed, accompanied by a bit of a throbbing noise when driving at high speed, so think the rear discs may be warped? And finally, the buttons down to the right of the steering wheel, one of those has been pushed completely through and so need to find a way to retrieve it. But other than that, all good!
Are they relatively easy to work? I do all the mechanical work on my Discovery 3 so reasonably handy with tools.

Update: the garage he’s been using for years is Harding Auto Services Ltd in Knaphill. They will be very familiar with a very orange, very cool FX50 ;-)
Thanks ever so much. Will get it booked in there for the new year. They do look good in orange. I remember a few years ago waiting in a queue for the Mont Blanc tunnel and a UK plated orange one went past. Stuck with me since then, sounded lovely as well.
