FSOT - Mazda MX5 Mk2.5 NB 1.8 VT-Sport 3250GBP - superb low mileage example
I am selling my beloved MX5, I have owned her around 9 years. She has just sailed through another MOT with one advisory that one tyre is getting a bit low on tread, but as an occasional car I'd easily get another year out of the Continetal Sport tyres fitted all round.

Despite this being a 16 year old car she is in fantastic condition. The original 16" alloys were refurbished and are still decent. Full leather interior.

Metallic Silver.

Only 53,000 miles with history to support. Service history book is fully stamped up by Mazda, but once full it has been serviced to schedule by my local mechanic with a full service & cam belt last year.

No rust, there cannot be many around in this condition or mileage. never wanted for anything and always 100% reliable.

Top of the range 1.8VT Sport. So has all the best bits as standard out of the factory: 146bhp engine, Bilstein Sports Suspension, 6 Speed gearbox and TorSen LSD. As well as ABS, Leccy windows, 6 CD multi-changer, front fog lights. 100% original other than chrome Zunnsport wire mesh grill fitted to tidy up the nose and protect the radiator. Oh, and a K & N panel filter within the standard air box to aid breathing.

A fantastic drive; they really are as good as people say. I'll be very sad to see her go but we need the space and money. It is after all a 16 year old car so has some tiny blemishes and will likely need a new hood in the next few years, the interior is lightly worn but nothing serious, it is obviously not brand new but is in superb for her age.

Looks like a nice car but for me the price looks rather high.
You can pick up a 1.8 2006 Mk3 car for that sort of money, and for a bit more a say budget £4k you can get a nice 2.0 car. Realise not everyone is a fan of the mk3 but it gives you a feel for how much this should be priced at.

Edit: A quick look on ebay shows tidy (seemingly) 2001 cars selling for about £1800...

Thanks for the reply, that was my concern about the price.
TBH was looking at a trade with a watch rather than cash, I guess a bit of an impulse swap.

If the user is a regular poster on TZ I would be checking out his posting and trading - if there are no issues there then that is a very good start.

I know nothing about watches but if its worth much more than £2k you are probably getting a bad deal!

I suppose you would need to ask yourself how "liquid" the Zenith is.

Try getting a quote from a decent dealer to buy it outright to get a feel for the "trade" value of the watch.

That is true, as I said it was a bit of a whim, it's sat in the drawer/winder unworn for 2 years as I have other watches I now use, I had no intention on buying a car but it cropped up!!!!
