auto headlight

Hi guys i got my nissan note today 2017 1.2 it has sat nav and and stuff such as auto headlights but when i unlock the car the lights do not turn on it only turns on when i start the car anyway i could make it switch on when i unlock the car?

They are probably "welcome lights"... most Nissan's have the DRL's (daytime running lights) on very briefly when you lock the car, 30 seconds or so. I wouldn't want the car lights to come on when I've unlocked it, no good for the battery.

I wouldn't want the car lights to come on when I've unlocked it, no good for the battery.

Do you disconnect yours at the end of the day?

OP's question was odd, so a little stumped as to what lights exactly he expected to come on when unlocking the car

Read the manual and follow the instructions. In the absence of such a function, acquire a different car.

What i meant was some cars when you unlock it the lights switch on at night but when i unlock the nissan note at night it doesnt turn on until i start the car
