RAC (and aftermarket) warranties in general have a bad reputation on here, and I would regard that as essentially worthless (especially when it comes to haggling over the purchase price). Traders are obliged by law to give a warranty and the buck stops with the trader.

Don't let my aftermarket warranty cynicism stop you going for the car though. If it drives well, has five Suzuki dealer stamps, clean HPI and fresh Falken tyres, then it's probably going to be ok.

Share a pic with us when you've done the deal.

Picking up the car this weekend... Cannot wait lol

What's the general consensus here about premium fuel? Does it give more power for the sss?

Congratulations silles, I have put premium fuel in before but basically run mine on normal no need really. They honestly are a great little car, bit of a bargain really.

I read it somewhere that suzuki recommends 98. What does the manual says? My current cars one clearly state that 98 is recommened, but 95 is OK with slightlos of power

Super unleaded is recommended for the ZC31S, but not the ZC32S.

Having switched back and forward a few times during my ownership, super unleaded definitely picks up a little more economy and power in the ZC32S, but isn't required and the difference isn't huge.

fuel is fuel no difference tbh. Only time I run premium is when I am in Germany

I like to think I have a good feel for the difference fuel makes.

I always run super in my bike because its smoother despite not actually requiring it.

I've run my 32 sport on super a few times and couldn't feel any difference at all.

isn't it the same engine, but ZC32 is just tuned up. maybe it can run on 95 but has more power on 98 ... it as an adaptive ECU so might be able to use higher octane fuel

The head is different and induction system. fuelling is all off the intake or some fancy witchcraft, The fuel really doesn't make much difference though.

found it here: https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/598271/+80 ( donno if it's true or not )

"Before you start asking, the minimum fuel required is RON95, as indicated by stickers on the fuel filler cap. Suzuki engineers however, insist that the use of RON97 is recommended for optimal performance and by extension, absolute longevity. That’s still a step down from the old car’s RON98 minimum, so no more hunting for Shell V-Power Racing when you run low on fuel." - paultan SSS 6/6/2013 during the launched of the new M16A!

Finally picked up one smile

so far I like it, couple of things I noticed:

- gearshift is not always smooth, especially when cold, but even when hot it wasn't always a smooth change. probably I'm a bit rusty having used DSG in the last 3 years. not sure.
- pedals don't seem right for heel and toe

Five door and the best colour (but I'm biased), nice!

The gearbox does need a bit of heat in it before it feels nice, but if it's still a bit "crunchy" then a change or gearbox oil might improve it. The Suzuki forum favoured some oils in particular. Also, I think CTC do some stiffer mounting bushes for the gearlever mechanism, which apparently makes it feel a bit more precise.

Heel and toe is possible, but you may need to change your technique. I don't think there are many modern cars where the pedals are well positioned for heel and toe.

Best combo indeed smile

Yes, heel toe it's possible, just pushed the seat back and adjusted the steering wheel, now I can heel and toe. Should have done it just after picking up but just rushed home before the storm

Car has 8 stamps for 36k. What is the gearbox oil change interval? How difficult is to upgrade the bushes?

IIRC it's 75k for the first interval, less after that. It's in the manual.
The bushes I don't know, because I've not done it.

I think the gearbox oil change interval may be as low as 36k.

It’s a piece of piss. I did mine without a jack no bother. Hardest but is refilling but I used motul which has a nice long tube on the bottle.

That being said it made no real difference to the feel if the gear change. They are notoriously poor especially when cold.

Lovely looking car. I’ve had my ZC32 a year now and absolutely love it. The gearbox being notchy is the cars biggest fault in my opinion, it’s a well acknowledged problem but you do get used to it. Apparently the new ZC33 has exactly the same issue so it’s just a Swift thing unfortunately.
I’m going to disagree with most on the fuel though, mine gets nothing but V Power and there’s a definite noticeable difference! You might not notice immediately but run a few full tanks through it and it’s much more lively and you also get an extra 20-30 miles to a tank. Some cars there’s no point in the higher octane but the Swift loves it. Remember it’s a high compression engine with an ECU that can adjust. Enjoy the car smile

I will definitely put tesco 99 it's only 5p diff in price if for anything the cleaning benefits worth it
Also thinking to replace the gear knob with something with a bit more weight for better feel.
Any recommendations?

I had exactly the same thought! Tbh the original is actually surprisingly heavy when you remove it, but I just found it really uncomfortable. They are not cheap but I went with the genuine Suzuki leather/steel one. It’s so much nicer to use, and also matches the interior perfectly.

Price is not the biggest problem with that, it's discontinued and cannot find any for sale
