Printed the first bush no problem once the filament sensor was turned off.
A lot firmer than i expected which is good. The raw filament was really floppy so I'm glad it came out firmer once printed.
Then went a bit psycho and started printing loads.
Should have loads by the morning!
Will fit one to the car when i have some daylight at the weekend. Pretty sure it will be fine based on how it feels.

The washers look like a simple way to stop it popping off but if the rubber has perished, you can wiggle the cable back and forth before the slack is taken up.
I am working out how to turn off my filament sensor as the flex filament makes it go skitz and it keeps telling me to load and unload repeatedly despite it extruding ok - if a bit runny. So once i get that turned off I shall print some out.
Any particular parts for pictures?I am working out how to turn off my filament sensor as the flex filament makes it go skitz and it keeps telling me to load and unload repeatedly despite it extruding ok - if a bit runny. So once i get that turned off I shall print some out.

Just how the seat mounts to the floor of the car. From what I can feel, the mounts are some kind of pressed metal, probably spot welded into place like most car bits are. But they seem to be 4-6 inches raised up from the actual car floor which in part would explain why the seats are so high up. IMO the seat would be much better off a few inches lower. The seat lowering kits only knock them down just under an inch.
Went a bit mental and printed tons of them. Just waiting for some star washers. Fitted one to my grearbox, seems great so far. The idea for the 3d printed ones doesnt need a star washer on the similar ones ive seen done before but i think star washers would be a nice insurance so they can never fall off again.
When the washers arrive i can send a load out for people to test.

I’ve also stayed on the 195 45 17 set up. Just ordered 4 continentals like they came with. I did have some falkens on the front but preferred the continentals it came with from new
Black circles cyber Monday deals have 15% off Michelin meaning you can get the pilot sport 4 for about the same price as the conti sport contact 5. Haven’t tried them on the SSS but they were amazing in both wet and dry on my Fiesta ST. colin79666 said:

To br honest I've always thought this talk of tyre brands a load of nonsense in the past however I could actually tell a difference between the falkens and contis.
It was that good in standard guise I'm going back 😙. Only issue is how quick I go through front tyres I'm lucky to get 12000 out of them. But I suppose that's the fun bit of an otherwise basic car, the carry speed in corners.
The metal retaining washers have arrived. Fitted one to ensure the cable does not come off. It hadnt moved anyway but belts and braces!
You can use it with the rubber washer or the metal retainer. I couldnt get it to fall off on the washer but its definitely not coming off with the metal retainer.
Certainly taken the slack out of the gear change.
Got seven complete sets to.give.away for.testing. anyone who wants a set let me know.

Email me and i can stick one in the post. One of mine on the gearbox has been bodged with tape so i could wiggle it a good 10-15mm back and forth. That slack being removed has made it much smoother to get in gear. I imagine worn bushes wont be as bad.
