I’ve also sent mail.
Mines only done 45k so don’t need changing, as such wont be putting on yet. So if this is just to get them tested I appreciate I may not meet criteria.

My Mrs' Z32S is a 2014 on similar mileage and one of the bushes had completely disintegrated so you might need them sooner than you think Mines only done 45k so don’t need changing, as such wont be putting on yet. So if this is just to get them tested I appreciate I may not meet criteria.

Thats the last 3 sets ready to go.
Everyone has 4 bushes, 4 pu spacers and 4 star retaining washers. You use either the spacer or the washer.
For the washer, which i think is more secure longterm, put some anal lube inside the bush, then press it over the lever arm. If you dont have anal lube, washing up liquid will do. A small socket and some love taps will get it over the lip on the lever. Make sure it is fully home, then press the gear cable onto the bushing. Using the socket again, press the star washer over the lever arm until it is home. See the pics below, if the bush is fully home, there should be a gap for the washer. Few love taps to ensure it is home and job done.
For using the spacer, put spacer on lever. Lube up bush. Put bush into the gear cable, then use a socket to press onto the lever shaft. Use a socket and love taps. Its technically a bit harder to do but the finished result is more faithful to the original as its just the rubber bush that holds it in.
The reason i prefer the star washer is that the bush can fail and fall apart but the star washer will still retain the gear cable and get you home even if the gear change becomes difficult.
Please give me any feedback you can, good or bad. The idea is any feedback can be used for revisions if necessary. I will plan in a month or two, to sell them to ph members and other guys with swifts on faceache.

Just discovered this thread, my wife is on her second SSS...this was the first car she owned after always living in cities and abroad, loads of fun to drive.
Then got this in 2017, with mid-teens on the clock...now just ticked over 30k. I went a bit mad in the accessory catalog and brought the majority of the optional trim for it, but I do think it helps lift the interior! Android head unit to replace the standard Nav unit, LED side repeaters, refurbished wheels and a Mugen gearknob on its way from Negun
Much more refined with the exception of the notchy 'box...I preferred the mkII.
We are going to borrow a mkIV for a weekend test drive once the weather clears up.

Anybody whos had the bushes i sent out got any feedback yet?
Not yet, but the seller of the £39 bushes just posted a video showing how to change the bushes, so thought I'd have another look at yours. Is the material that they are printed from polyurethane?
When I get around to fitting one, I'll probably try the spacer rather than the washer. Just to confirm, do you put the spacer on the lever side of the pin, and then the main bush into the cable with the shoulder on the outer side of the pin?
In other words, the bush goes the other way around as compared to when using the washer.

After a lot of searching previously I found these https://www.aliexpress.com/i/4000909135818.html which I'm pretty sure will work.
Those look like the purple ones, but I couldn't see any dimensions listed.gweaver said:

No, not very helpful but I did find them by searching for a Ford cougar, I think, which uses the same bush for the automatic shifter. The bush seems to be used in a lot of US market cars in the automatic shift mechanism.I’m pretty sure the £39 guy gets his from a supplier of these in the US who charges about $20 a throw.
If you’ve got a Swift Sport and haven’t replaced the originals it’s a matter of when not if. The material of the originals is completely unsuited to the application. I had a disintegrated one gearbox side on a 20k mile car.
Hello! Just bought my first ZC32 and loving it so far, like a less hardcore abarth 595 comp. Nothing beats a revvy small engine for enjoyment, reminds me of my bikes.
The shift linkage definitely has a lot of slack to it though and at 106k miles I'm assuming the bushings are about to go, any of the 3d printed ones here available to buy still? or am I best off hitting up ebay / suzuki?
Thanks

Have the prices of these shot up recently?
I'm struggling to find any examples near the prices that people were discussing earlier in this thread.
I was hoping to be able to pick one up for around 4-5k, but anything in that price range seems to be an insurance write-off, or has been clearly abused.
What's a reasonable price to pay for a 2012 model with 70-80k miles?

All cars have gone up in value over the past 2 years. I bought a pre reg swift sport in 2015 for 11.5k & sold it after 3 years and 35k miles for about 6.5k so prices are certainly much higher now.
I brought wife's current 14 plate for just over £5k five years ago with upper teens mileage...same car with 30k on it and I was offered £7.5k p/x on a new SSS. Crazy.Edited by trails on Saturday 12th February 11:04
