Sadly no test drive today. Wasted 2 hours driving there and back to see the car, but not be allowed to test drive it without saying that I would be buying it afterwards.

If you see this car for sale in Halesowen, I wouldn’t bother visiting..
What an absolute bunch of fking wkers

And swapping parts left and right, what are they a breakers yard? Cowboys

Won it for £5,900 which equates to £6,732 after Copart gouge you for the fees.

No airbags have gone off thankfully. Needs a new outer wing skin (£80 + paint), replacement alloy (refurbed from Cuztoms for £150). Used wheel arch liner for £40. Refurbished suspension arm £45 but might not need it.

I've also ordered two new front tyres (Goodyear Eagle F1s) and tracking which is £300.

I might get a replacement bumper in the future as it's had a little bit of the carbon snapped off on the damaged side, but I'll only bother if a matching colour bumper comes up. It also needs a jolly good clean inside as it's filthy.

After taking off the damaged arch liner, it's driving fine although the tracking is really out - not surprising as the wheel took a whack along with the wing.

Definitely different to drive than the ZC32s - more torque, less revvy.

Nice, a bargain right there...look forward to seeing the fixed photos.

Still not changed my wife's 32 for a 33...I think I'm still enjoying driving it too much smile

Thanks.

Yeah the 32 is a great little car and so much fun to drive/push. I've got literally thousands of quids worth of kit to modify the 32 as I was going to make it a trackday car, but someone's offered me a decent price for it. Once I sell the unused mods parts (exhaust, suspension, struct braces, etc) it should almost pay for most of this car.

Hit a big pheasant last night frown

Luckily it was dead centre of the bumper, so has only broken the black plastic grille and not any part of the painted bumper or lights.

Have ordered about £80 of parts - grille, number plate, chrome 'S' badge (which seems to be the same parts for lots of Suzuki cars and also some outboard motors).

Hopefully the weather next weekend will be dry while I attempt to remove the bumper eek

That's a shame.

We get a lot of pheasant around here, they're completely suicidal and I've had plenty of close calls, a few might have lost their tail feathers but I've never hit one full on. Was it a big bang?

Bumper removal isn't too bad, just double check you have removed all the fixings before removal as it's a bit wafty with no support. I had to replace the black bit after someone helpfully reversed into my wife's car in a car park. I had the centre part resprayed the OE metallic grey as the grill section came in one piece and was all black.

Not especially - hitting a pigeon with the windscreen last year made a lot more noise.

It was dark but I could see a wingtip flapping over the end of the bonnet, and when I pulled over under a street light once I got to the next bit of civilisation the whole bird was wedged in the grille. Cars coming the other way must have been amused seeing a little Suzuki with a big pheasant stuck to the front.

Hopefully a local fox got a nice dinner and it is not still sat rotting away in the gutter.

Pheasants and whatever else you might encounter is one of the reasons I don't fancy a 33 model with the active cruise. Its probably £1k min if you put a pheasant through the front sensor.

You've done OK at £80 of parts and as someone has already said the bumper comes off easily.

Just had a message from the eBay seller of the cheap grille claiming it was their last one in stock and it damaged so cancelled the order.

Had to spend an extra £20 getting one from AutoDoc.

Yeah, pigeons, especially Wood Pigeons are pretty robust.

Hmm, hadn't thought of that, our other car is a 17 plate Vitara with active cruise and I've narrowly missed plenty of pheasants in that too! Perhaps I'll fit one of these with a little square cut out of the middle for the radar hehe

I wonder if they mean the drop links? I think you need to see issue as roll bar ball joint dust covers doesn’t make much sense.

If it is the drop links it’s best to fit new units rather than mess about with the dust cover.

Japfest just ended, and after seeing a bunch of other swift's I've decided this year I'll try and get some new Wheels + tires combo hopefully.

Currently got the stock alloys and had them refurbished in really nice and bright white to contrast the blue Swift, however now I'm kind of getting over them.
Stuck between getting either Dark Bronze/Gold like colour or Grey/Gunmetal Grey.

Any advice, directions or opinions are appreciated. Also need some ideas for the actual wheel choice.
It's currently sitting on BC Coilovers, gonna try and get it dialed in and a little bit lower than it is right now, matter of adjustment.

My wife chose a light anthracite with lots of metal flake when she had her wheels refurbed. Looks really good in bright sunlight.

Absolutely loving it. It's got buckets of torque and will easily spin the wheel in 2nd gear. Been a while since I got FWD driveshaft hopping by accident, made me chuckle as it reminded me of my first car, a Civic VTi.

I honestly have no issues with the car so far, I liked the Swift and totally happy with the switch to the Sport. The real issue I have now is trying to stop myself from fettling with it. The idea of a remap, exhaust, IC upgrade is tempting, only a small hike in insurance but it's hard to justify at this time with the work the other car is having done.
I have a 2019 non-hybrid Sport that has been re-mapped (by Reidy Remaps), a CTC intake system (with the beautiful carbon fibre airbox) and exhaust. It's also on coilovers and wider wheels/tyres. In my opinion, this is an absolutely fantastic little car and as fast as is needed for normal road use. Overtaking is a breeze, often you don't need to even drop down a gear, and the handling/ride quality balance is excellent. Added bonus is that in steady traffic it will easily return in excess of 50mpg. I absolutely love it! I almost bought a Fiesta ST before choosing the Swift, the deciding factor was that if I parked in a public car park, the Swift would more likely still be there when I got back!

As for insurance costs, even with all mods declared it is still less expensive to insure than my Focus ST diesel estate!
