Have a soft spot for these. Haven't driven the 370z but enjoyed driving a 350z. Out of curiosity, what's the auto blipping thing like on the 370z? Not necessarily something I'd welcome but always been curious to try something like this.
I'm a big fan of it in fairness, plus with mine having hi flow sports cats and a custom exhaust on it, I can't help but smile at the noise it makes on the down shifts! Even at low speeds mine has set the neighbours car alarm off a few times down shifting from third to second! I bet they love me!
You can switch it off if it isn't your cup of tea though.

This one mate at the workshop day in Cambridge last September If so I know the owner really well and you will know first hand how loud it is
Perhaps changed a little since you had it.
Yep that’s it. Changed a bit. It was on a standard exhaust when we sold it. If you speak to the owner let him know it’s got an EcuTek map on it. If he speaks to Seven Valley Motorsport they may be able to tell him the key sequence to change between maps. I’ve just got off the phone with MrsMB140, she can’t remember the sequence. Good to see it’s still being enjoyed and used by an enthusiast.
Here it is doing part of the NC500 with a car club the week before she traded it in. Fantastic car, we did 1000s of proper driving miles around the U.K. and Europe it in. Never missed a beat. If the guy that owns it ever wants to sell it then tell him to let us know I will PM my contact details.
I was just looking in AT and a new Nismo is £34k. I trurly hope the replacement 400z is just as good an affordable.
I have a feeling though when the 400z Nismo is released it’s going to be a £50k plus car. At that point it’s no longer the great deal the 370z currently is. One can hope though, ideally less than £40k and the tax implications and I’d probably grab one in a heartbeat if it’s as good as I hope it will be. Unfortunately I can se it being £50k +

Yes and I've said before that the great thing about the Z car has always been its relative affordability. So I also hope that the replacement sticks to this philosophy for sure. £50k won't be any good for it, and at that price it opens up far too many alternatives for me.
Anyone that pays full list for a 370Z needs their head looking at! I paid £30k for a pre reg Nismo with 1500 miles on the clock.
I find the steering, clutch and gearchange a bit light after my old M5, changing gear with just a finger or thumb is a doddle. It's also a bit nose heavy with the weight bias to the front but if you drive it like an old school superbike ie do all the braking in a straight line and accelerate through the corner whilst the proper LSD does its' thing it handles great.
The only two things that let the car down is the lack of reach adjustment on the steering wheel and the BOSE stereo being ste, the hard drive for copying CD's is a work of genius it's just a shame that the sound quality is so utterly toilet! Putting a touch screen display in such a stiffly sprung car is proof positive that the Japanese really do have a sense of humour

Agreed. This thread got me searching... £32k for a pre-reg (20 miles on the clock) Nismo, and that's just the advertised price, I guess more would be available with a haggle if they are not shifting. Yours looks great, love it in white - I think someone already said this, but don't usually like white cars, but it really works with the Nismo.
Went down a YouTube rabbit hole earlier watching vids of them. Love the old skool nature, feels like we will lament their loss in a few years - would love to be able to tuck away a Nismo for some continued analogue fun in years to come.

I have just PM'd the current owner to let him know about this thread he is a nice guy and loves his car - it went to a good home. Good to see it’s still being enjoyed and used by an enthusiast.

It's great to see so many Zed pictures - really enjoying this thread.
I loved my Azure Blue 350z - there was so much to love about it. I remember seeing a 350z for the first time in San Francisco on Holiday in 2004 and came back by September I had one. I loved that car - the 350z as stock is louder than the 370z - that's why so many people change the exhaust. But you can just work on the cars - changing the Air Filters as an example perhaps takes 20 seconds a side, and I am no mechanic.
When you open up the bonnet - it just is a big engine.

Miss my 370z every day, but needed something more practical.
Went back to my old stablemate of 3 series tourers but a 35d xdrive.
I loved every moment of owning it, well looked after by myself and previous owner, lowered in KW V3s which made the ride sublime compared to stock cars.
And a cobra cat back exhaust had a beautiful rasp when warmed up.
Maybe a Nismo will be on the cards in future when we go down to one family car.
