MR2 roadster luggage rack

does anyone here have experience of obtaining and fitting a luggage rack to an MR2 roadster? I have seen them available on the web, but only from the U.S.

Are there any rules or regulations pertaining to the use of said rack on this car?

There was one for sale on the imoc board a while back.

I've thought about it for mine, but was a bti concerned the heat fromt he engine may melt whatever you put above it.

I'm surprised nobody has sold one in the UK as the roadster's achilies heel is the lack of luggage space.

If you do find out where I can get one let me know!
