I'm thinking about a new car fairly soon and I'm quite tempted by a 2 litre Accord, are they any good in terms of reliability, insurance (I'm 21), performance, etc.?

Thanks in advance,
FN

If that's what you have set your heart on and you can afford it...why not?

Check for insurance through Adrian S Flux or Direct line etc. They are usually fairly competitive. Might be high for a 2 litre at your age though and where you live, number of points on license will make a difference.

The new toyota avensis (if you are going new) is supposed to be the best family car of the moment. Doesn't handle as well as the mondeo, but is best in all other areas (so say the motoring press).

Bit of an 'old man' image, but that should help with the insurance!

Plipton - My mind's not set on an Accord, I just was thinking of what car I could get next and it seems to fit my criterea of <£4k, I can fit in it (I'm 6'3"), reliable, not too common and relatively quick.
Sparks - I won't be going new, budget is about £4k.
